This sitcom was full of laughs and hugs. Originally released during the 1980s, Full House told the story of a single parent raising three daughters with the help of his two friends. It was challenging at times, but the Tanner sisters managed to grow up into bright young women.
That includes the eldest, DJ Tanner, who eventually became a veterinarian. Together, they navigated all the troubles that come with growing up, from schoolwork to friend troubles to boyfriends.
Through it all, there was plenty of love between DJ Tanner and her two sisters, Michelle and Stephanie, and their father. In fact, there was enough love to warrant a shoutout from the actress behind DJ Tanner, Candace Cameron Bure, on Father’s Day this year.

This year, Candance Cameron Bure took to social media, sharing Father’s Day wishes with her dad. No, not Bob Saget, her real dad, Robert, who she thanked for being supportive towards her and her siblings.
“Nope, it’s not [Bob Saget.] This is my real dad, Robert! The best dad in the world. He loves us kids unconditionally, will drop anything he’s doing to be there for us, will fix everything, is the best unpaid therapist, has the funniest dry sense of humor and hands down, has the funniest laugh you’ve ever heard,” Candace Cameron Bure wrote.
“Happy Father’s Day to Robert. He is truly one of the best fathers I’ve ever known,” Bob Saget replied to her Instagram post.

Danny Tanner wasn’t the only father-figure in DJ’s life, though. Fans met crazy rocker, “Uncle Jesse,” and the fun-loving “Joey” on the original sitcom. They both returned for Netflix’s spinoff series, appearing at DJ’s wedding and offering advice to the girls.
