Gabrielle Union Blossoms in Date Night LBD at the 2024 Paris Olympics
Gabrielle Union is a sports fan through and through. A few days ago, the Bring It On star cheered on Team USA’s men’s gymnastics team at the horizontal bar final. Sitting with activist Tarana Burke and actor Taraji P. Henson, Union wore a patriotic navy blue tennis dress trimmed in white and red. Then, on August 5, she and her husband of 10 years wore black tie apparel to celebrate Team USA basketball. Fans can’t get enough of her sweet and sexy take on the little black dress.
Wade didn’t attend the gymnastics event with his wife. The 42-year-old was occupied at the Pierre-Mauroy stadium in the northern France town of Villeneuve-d’Ascq. NBC hired the three-time NBA champion to provide color commentary for Team USA basketball throughout the Olympics. Fortunately, Wade was able to join his wife on the red carpet for “A Celebration of Olympic Basketball.”
Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade opted for complementary outfits without appearing too matchy-matchy. The Bad Boys II actress wore a form-fitting floor-length Showpo gown with a square neckline. A scalloped hemline and floral details along Union’s décolletage added interest to the classic look. Fans praised the 51-year-old’s look as a modern take on the LBD.
Union wore a minimalist silver necklace and strappy black heels. The UCLA grad carried Prada’s Arqué leather shoulder bag in white and styled her hair in simple, glossy waves.
Wade wore a double-breasted jacket and matching pants in a light cool gray. He added a white tank top, white sneakers, and a gold necklace to his look. Notably, the 2008 Olympic gold medalist subtly supported another gold medalist, Noah Lyles, who recently won the men’s 100M race.
Showing his appreciation for Lyes, Wade painted his pinky fingernails in Team USA blue. A day earlier, Wade had tweeted, “And he got his nails painted. Say something.”
