According to We Are NorthGame of Thrones is the number one most spoiled TV show of all time. When the HBO series was airing, fans conducted 26,320 searches a month. 

The Mandalorian and Pretty Little Liars are the second and third most-searched-for shows. Other series that made We Are North’s list of “most spoiled TV shows based on Google searches” include:

As We Are North reports, 45% of the most searched TV spoilers were for Game of Thrones. From “who killed Joffrey” to “how Arya killed the Night King,” these are the top Game of Thrones spoilers in order of most-searched: 

  1. Joffrey Baratheon (Jack Gleeson) dies at the Purple Wedding (Season 4, Episode 2)
  2. Olenna Tyrell (Diana Rigg) confirms she poisoned Joffrey – “Tell Cersei; I want her to know it was me” (Season 4, Episode 4)
  3. “The Long Night” when Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) kills the Night King with dragon glass (Season 8, Episode 3)
  4. The three-eyed raven reveals “he wants to erase the world” — “I am its memory” (Season 8, Episode 2)
  5. Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) is revealed to be Daenerys Targaryen’s (Emilia Clark) nephew (Season 7, Episode 7)

Most-watched episode of ‘Game of Thrones’ 

According to Forbes, “Mother’s Mercy” (Season 5, Episode 10) was the most-watched episode with 8.11 million views in 2016. In the episode, Cersei walks the streets of King’s Landing naked as atonement for her sins. 

At the Wall, Jon Snow is stabbed repeatedly by fellow watchers. Meanwhile, Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) kills Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane), Arya Stark kills Meryn Trant (Ian Beattie), and Ellaria Sand (Indira Varma) kills Myrcella Lannister (Nell Tiger Free). 

In 2019, “The Bells” had the highest initial viewing rating in the history of Game of Thrones (via The Chicago Tribune). 12.48 million viewers watched the episode, trumping the 12.07 million views of the season 7 finale.

‘Game of Thrones’ prequel ‘House of the Dragon’ coming in 2022 

Game of Thrones fans are about to start a whole new era of spoiler searches. HBO plans to release House of the Dragon, a prequel spinoff series, in 2022.
