‘General Hospital’: Eden McCoy Reveals the Actor Who Makes Her Laugh the Most on Set
Eden McCoy is one of the most prominent young faces on General Hospital. She plays Josslyn Jacks, the daughter of Jasper “Jax” Jacks and Carly Corinthos.

Eden McCoy began acting after attending theater camp as a child
McCoy’s acting story started when she attended theater camp as a kid. Her parents decided to sign her up for it to help combat her shyness.
“I was a really shy kid, according to my parents,” she explained in a 2017 interview with Soap Opera Digest. “My school was really keen on public speaking, and I never really wanted to perform or do any of that stuff, so my mom and dad signed me up for a theater camp. We put on a play at the end of the camp, and agencies came to scout for kids.”
McCoy was approached by an agent who wanted to help her get professional roles. However, McCoy’s parents were initially hesitant about the idea. McCoy said, “I really liked the camp and wanted to keep performing, so my parents said, ‘Well, if you play sports and get good grades, I don’t see why not.’ So we signed with an agency and I started auditioning.”
Afterwards, McCoy landed minor roles in commercials and shows for tweens and teens. Then, she made her mark on daytime TV when an opportunity to appear on General Hospital came knocking.

When McCoy was 12 years old, she landed the role of Josslyn on General Hospital. According to the actor, she believes she might have gotten the role because of something she said during her audition process with executive producer Frank Valentini.
“We talked for a while after [the audition],” McCoy said on a recent episode of the podcast Dishing With Digest. “He asked me a bunch of questions. He asked me what my favorite TV show was, and I said 30 Rock because it was at the time and it is one of my favorite TV show.”
McCoy explained, “I said 30 Rock and I’m like 12, and he’s probably thinking, ‘What the hell is this person doing. Like, who is this?’ But he loved my answer and I still believe that’s why I got [the role]. I think it just made me stand out from everybody else because I was such a weird kid growing up.”

McCoy has been on General Hospital for five years now, and it seems she has been able to develop good relationships with some of her co-stars.
Speaking to Dishing With Digest, McCoy revealed that actor Chad Duell, who plays her on-screen half-brother Michael Corinthos, has been the one to entertain her the most on set.
“He’s so ridiculous,” she said. “I grew up with him. He makes me laugh probably more than anybody else… We just go off on each other, make fun of each other, and laugh with each other.”
