‘General Hospital’ This Week: These Are Maxie’s Confessions
If there’s one thing that General Hospital is going to do, it’s make some characters have recalled memories at the worst possible time. It looks like one such character will have that “total recall” moment this week. And this will force Maxie to make some confessions that she otherwise wouldn’t make.

On ‘General Hospital,’ someone remembers when Maxie handed off her baby
The truth of the matter is, Maxie would love nothing more than to come clean about the circumstances of her baby. But as long as Peter keeps playing games, that isn’t going to happen. However, Celeb Dirty Laundry reveals that on upcoming episodes of General Hospital, Maxie will be forced to come clean.
“Austin may have a memory of something that happened as he was trying to regain consciousness – like hearing Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) accept the baby,” reports the outlet. “Maxie will be an emotional wreck as she tries to explain, but she may run out of excuses and just have to bring Austin the loop.”
It sounds like Maxie’s confession will have blowback in the near future, so we’ll have to tune in to see what happens there.
Sonny is still desperate to get Carly back
General Hospital has been featuring Sonny and Carly really going through it. Carly really can’t take the fact that Sonny (as Mike) spent “quality time” in Nixon Falls with Nina. But, as confused as Sonny is about his feelings for Nina, he knows that he loves Carly. And he wants to make things right at any cost.
Soaps.com reports that Sonny will be making another plea for Carly’s heart, and forgiveness, on the Jan. 24 episode of the show. It’s clear that the couple loves one another, but sometimes love just ain’t enough, as the old song goes. And it seems like the couple will find it difficult to get past their most recent difficulties.
Sonny is also teased to have a “meaningful encounter” on the Jan. 27 episode of General Hospital, so we’ll just have to see what that encounter entails.
Drew and Sam throw the #Sante ship off
The General Hospital social media accounts have been teasing a threat to the burgeoning Sante (Sam and Dante) ship, which has left some fans feeling disappointed. And these “Sante” shippers will really be upset when Sam and Drew continue to bond on this week’s episodes.
Look for Sam and Drew to spend some quality time, along with Scout, on the Jan. 28 episode of the show. SoapHub reports that this just might be the start of a burgeoning relationship between these two, which will leave Sam confused as to how she feels about Dante. In the weeks to come, Dante and Chase will reconnect, too, because they have a lot to talk about.
