‘General Hospital’: Who Did Chad Duell Date Before Courtney Hope?
General Hospital star Chad Duell is currently dating The Bold and The Beautiful actress Courtney Hope. The pair has been together for a few years now, and they are even self-isolating with each other amid the current coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Chad Duell was briefly married to Taylor Novack
In 2010, when Duell was in his early 20s, he began dating actress Taylor Novack. The two of them got married in September 2012.
However, they decided to have their marriage annulled not long after. Duell stated: “It didn’t work out. It was just too soon. I think we weren’t ready.”
Chad Duell dated his ‘General Hospital’ co-star Kristen Alderson for three years
Shortly after breaking up with Novack, Duell started dating his General Hospital co-star Kristen Alderson. Their characters, Michael Corinthos and Kiki Jerome, also had a relationship on the show for some time.
In 2015, Alderson left General Hospital and moved back to her home state of Pennsylvania. The couple reportedly tried to have a long-distance relationship for a while, but things did not work out for them. They decided to part ways later that year.
Alderson wrote on Twitter: “We appreciate all of the support we got as a couple from you guys… Chad and I are in a good place though. It wasn’t an easy decision for us, but we’ve remained optimistic and friends.”
Meanwhile, Duell shared that he was planning on moving out of the house they shared together, but their dog remained with him.

In 2016, Duell met Courtney Hope, who plays Sally Spectra on The Bold and the Beautiful. In an interview with Soaps In Depth, both of them revealed that they were hesitant about their relationship at first.
“I wanted to hang out with her,” Duell said, “but part of me knew I would end up dating her. I guess I was scared.”
On Hope’s end, her parents taught her that “love should be easy and with someone who’s your best friend,” though for a long time, Hope did not believe it. However, she admitted that, when she and Duell started hanging out with each other, she understood what her parents were saying.
Duell and Hope went on to have a strong relationship together. After about a year of dating, they moved in with each other, and today they are self-isolating during the pandemic.
Fortunately, Hope told Soaps.com that the close proximity has not caused too many issues for their relationship. She shared that she and Duell have a routine together, though they also make sure to give one another some needed space.
“We’re definitely two peas in a pod,” Hope said. “We haven’t had any moments where it’s like, ‘I’m sick of you!’ And that’s a good thing. I felt like there were stages of quarantine – in the beginning we both had a little anxiety over it, then set an at-home routine so we could be productive. It’s just us and our three dogs. We like our alone time, too – he likes to play his games, and I like fitness and crafts.”
