‘General Hospital’: Who Is Rebecca Herbst Married to and How Many Kids Does She Have?
Rebecca Herbst is currently one of the main cast members of General Hospital. For many years now, she has been portraying nurse Elizabeth Webber, and fans have grown accustomed to seeing her face on the small screen every day.

Rebecca Herbst has been on ‘General Hospital’ since 1997
Herbst first joined General Hospital when she was 21 years old in 1997. Her character, Elizabeth, is the granddaughter of Steve Hardy, one of the series’ original lead characters. This makes Elizabeth a legacy character and the only person on the show today who still has a connection to General Hospital’s early history.
In 1999, Herbst won a Soap Opera Digest Award for her work as Elizabeth. She has also been nominated for three Daytime Emmy Awards.
Elizabeth is one of the most popular characters on General Hospital, having acquired a lot of fans for her memorable and engaging story lines, such as her unfortunate rape incident in 1998 as well as her longtime relationship with Lucky Spencer. In fact, after Herbst left General Hospital in 2011, fans’ negative reactions led ABC to hire Herbst again.
Rebecca Herbst has been married to Michael Saucedo for almost 20 years
Aside from having a successful career on one of the most famous soap operas, Herbst also seems to have an enviable married life.
She is currently married to Michael Saucedo, whom she met on General Hospital. In the early 2000s, Saucedo played Juan Santiago on the show for a few years. Herbst and Saucedo began dating and eventually got married in 2001.
Saucedo is also a published author. He and Nik Price co-wrote the first book, Dead Extra, in the Liberty Strong series. The book was published 2014. The main character, Liberty Strong, is based off of Herbst, whose middle name is Liberty.
Rebecca Herbst and Michael Saucedo have three children
Herbst and Saucedo also have three children together: Ethan (b. 2001), Ella (b. 2004), and Emerson (b. 2010). Additionally, the family has four dogs.
As a parent, Herbst believes her children need to spend time with family members instead of their electronics.
She once shared with Soaps In Depth: “I love taking them out into the fresh air and away from the concrete, cars, and electronics, and hiking for hours upon hours with just us for company… We take our phones everywhere like the rest of the world — because we need to take pictures. But my kids know that when we’re together and hanging out, nobody’s on their phone.”
Herbst’s also admitted that her parenting skills come from remember the things her own mother used to do. She told Soaps In Depth that, although she used to find the things her mother said “annoying,” she now finds herself repeating them to her kids.
