Rory and Logan shared a leap of faith at the Life and Death Brigade event

Logan (Matt Czuchry) and Rory’s (Alexis Bledel) first outing with the Life and Death Brigade has become an iconic Gilmore Girls episode. In season 5 episode 7, “You Jump, I Jump, Jack,” Rory joined Logan and his friends on a trip with their Yale University secret society. The outing included a bungee jump off a very high platform, which Logan convinced Rory to do with him. They held hands during the leap and gazed into each other’s eyes after feeling the rush of the jump.

This marked the first time that Logan pushed Rory out of her comfort zone, as well as the first time Rory got to know Logan.

Rory cared for Logan after his accident

Rory and Logan were always there for each other in times of need. That became clear when, despite Rory being angry at Logan, she rushed to his side after his accident in season 6 episode 20, “Super Cool Party People.” Rory then made sure that Logan was well cared for during his recovery.

Even when Rory couldn’t be around, she had Paris (Liza Weil) and Doyle (Danny Strong) watch over Logan to make sure he’d be alright. Although her efforts were a bit overprotective, she proved that she cared deeply about his well-being.

Logan gave Rory the rocket as a symbol of their love

One of the most romantic moments between Logan and Rory came in Gilmore Girls Season 7 Episode 1, “The Long Morrow.” After moving to London, Logan sent Rory a rocket as a gift. She couldn’t understand why at first, but she later realized the rocket’s adorable meaning — it was a symbol of their love.

Rory and Logan watched an episode of The Twilight Zone together about a man who waited his entire life for the woman he loved. Logan said it was one of his favorite episodes. So, he gave Rory the rocket to symbolize that he would always wait for her, even with the distance between them.

This time, it was Logan’s turn to rush to Rory’s side. In season 7 episode 13, “I’d Rather Be in Philadelphia,” Logan flew in on a helicopter to be with Rory when Richard Gilmore (Edward Herrmann) had a heart attack. He stayed by her side the entire time and offered to help the Gilmores. When Rory feared her grandfather wouldn’t make it, Logan assured her that everything would be OK. He seemed to be exactly what Rory needed at the time.

Logan’s proposal to Rory and his careful planning

Logan knew that he wanted to spend his life with Rory. In season 7 episode 21, “Unto the Breach,” he delivered a speech about how much Rory amazed him and asked for her hand in marriage. Then, he revealed to Rory that he spent a lot of time thinking about their future. He even picked out a house with an avocado tree. Even though Rory turned down Logan’s proposal, it was still a huge moment in their relationship.
