Paris Geller was a breakout star in Gilmore Girls. As Rory Gilmore’s antagonist, she should have been disliked by fans. The opposite happened. While Paris was deeply flawed, fans found themselves rooting for her, even if she was a bit abrupt at times. Despite her shortcomings, Paris did a fair bit of dating. Paris Geller had a single date with Tristan Dugray
When Gilmore Girls began, Paris was a bit of a loner. She spent most of her time studying. While her friends, Madeline Lynn and Louise Grant, were obsessed with boys and dating, Paris largely considered it frivolous. Her attitude toward dating might have just been fear, though. She was clearly hung up on Tristan Dugray, Chilton’s resident bad boy.
Paris almost got her wish once. When Rory told Tristan to consider dating Paris, he took her advice to heart. He and Paris had exactly one date before Tristan decided Paris wasn’t for him. Tristan’s interest might have waned, but Paris’s didn’t. She harbored feelings for him for the duration of his time at Chilton and was still hung up on him 15 years later when she spied him at a reunion.
Paris lost her virginity to Jamie while still in high school
Tristan didn’t graduate from Chilton. He left the school and the series during Paris and Rory’s junior year. Tristan’s departure allowed Paris to move on, and eventually, she met Jamie. Jamie and Paris met while spending the summer in Washington D.C. They had a single date, and then Jamie headed off to Princeton and attempted to forget about Paris. He couldn’t and showed up at Chilton to reconnect.
Paris and Jamie dated for the entirety of her Senior year of Chilton and part of her Freshman year of college. Jamie was last seen in the season 4 episode, “A Family Matter.” After the breakup, Paris never mentioned Jamie again.
Paris Geller had two major relationships in college, and one led to marriage
By the time Paris got to college, she was far more open to the idea of romance. She started Yale while still dating Jamie. While the pair did break up, Paris spent almost none of her college career single. Paris was already dating a 60-year-old professor when she finally ended things with Jamie. She dated Asher Fleming through much of her freshman year of college and likely would have continued the relationship if Asher hadn’t died unexpectedly.
After Asher’s death, Paris took a brief hiatus from dating but soon started hooking up with Doyle McMasters. Doyle, then the editor of the Yale Daily News, and Paris had an unconventional but oddly perfect romance. They were together for several years and even got married and had children. Sadly, when fans met up with Paris in Gilmore Girls:’A Year in the Life, she and Doyle were getting divorced.
