In 2016, Gilmore Girls fans rejoiced at a revival. For the first time in nearly a decade, they reconnected with the Gilmores and all of the residents of Stars Hollow. While the Netflix revival opened to mixed reviews, fans are still clamoring for another reunion eight years later. While there have been glimmers of hope, no announcement has been made. Fans are, once again, hopeful that a second reboot will be on the way after several of the show’s stars have posted about Gilmore Girls on social media. Still, a second revival announcement probably isn’t forthcoming. So, what are they all posting about? The Gilmore Girls cast members appear to be Walmart partners.

Lauren Graham, Scott Patterson, and Sean Gunn all recently posted about ‘Gilmore Girls’

Gilmore Girls fans flocked to social media to theorize about a potential second reunion after a flurry of Instagram activity. The renewed chatter came after Lauren Graham, Scott Patterson, and Sean Gunn each posted about the show on Instagram. Graham, who just recently joined the platform, took to her stories to share a snapshot of Stars Hollow’s iconic town square. In the story, she told her fans she had something brewing. That story has since expired.

Patterson, who played Luke Danes, posted to the platform on November 25. He told his followers he was back at Luke’s Diner. Patterson’s Instagram post included a photo of a Luke’s Diner mug and an order sheet. Patterson has been the actor most connected to his past role. He hosts a podcast all about Gilmore Girls.

Sean Gunn as Kirk Gleason leaves Lorelai's house with his pet pig in 'Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life' Kirk might be at the center of one of several 'Gilmore Girls' mysteries,.

Sean Gunn uploaded a Gilmore Girls-themed post to Instagram the same day. Gunn’s upload featured a picture of the town’s beloved gazebo. His caption questioned if Kirk Gleason had found his latest gig. Gunn played town eccentric Kirk for all seven seasons of the original series. He reprised his role in the 2016 revival.

Fans probably won’t get a revival announcement, though

While Gunn, Graham, and Patterson’s posts brought fans back to Stars Hollow, it doesn’t seem like they are brewing up another Netflix revival. All three Gilmore Girls stars have added the “Walmart Partner” hashtag to their posts, suggesting that whatever they are cooking up is directly linked to the retailer. Considering the upcoming holidays, a Gilmore Girls-themed ad campaign seems likely.

Last year’s famous partners also point to an upcoming ad campaign. Last year, another famous on-screen trio reconnected for a series of Walmart ads. Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Seyfried, and Lacey Chabert, who all starred together in Mean Girls, reprised their iconic roles for several Christmas ads. The ads were well-received. While Graham, Gunn, and Patterson’s shared launch date would be too late for Black Friday advertisements, it’s not too late for Christmas ads. We’ll have to wait and see.
