‘Girls Trip’ Clip Resurfaces of Jada Pinkett Smith’s Character and Her Younger Fling Amid August Alsina Saga
People are still talking about Jada Pinkett Smith and August Alsina’s relationship. Will Smith has even joined in on the jokes regarding Jada referring to her romance with Alsina as an “entanglement.” A clip from Jada’s role in the comedy Girls Trip has resurfaced and many are calling it deja vu.

Girls Trip shattered box office records when it was released in 2017. The film followed four best friends who reunite for the first time for a vacation after five years. The women attend the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans and experience a weekend of fun, trouble, and reconnecting.
Smith plays Lisa, a divorced single mother who’s lost her mojo. During the weekend at Essence Fest, her friends encourage her to get her groove back. She meets a younger gentleman and has a fling with him throughout their time together.
During one of the funniest scenes in the film, the friends argue after news breaks about one of their marriages. Lisa is criticized by Dina (Tiffany Haddish), the wild child of the bunch, for her fling with a younger man.
“Just because he got a big d**k, that don’t make him a grown man with your pedophile a**,” Dina tells her.
The scene remains a fan favorite and helped Girls Trip open at No. 1 at the box office opening weekend. The film grossed over $140 million at the box office worldwide, becoming the film by an African-American female screenwriter to cross the $100 million mark.

A fan captioned the Girls Trip clip of Dina and Lisa arguing about Lisa’s younger beau, “Tiffany been trying to tell y’all,” a nod to Jada’s relationship with Alsina.
Both Jada and Alsina recounted their reported three-year relationship that began while Jada and Will were separated. Jada says the experience forced her to confront her codependency issues, while Alsina calls Jada the greatest love of his life.
The two have not spoken since Alsina ended things amid suspicions that Jada and Will were reconciling. Still, fans couldn’t help but comment on the similarities between Jada and her Girls Trip character.
Like Lisa, Jada admitted she was not feeling her best self at the time she entered in a relationship with Alsina. The age difference is also a continued joke online.
“She hit it on the head, she was talking about August on the down [low], this gonna be a [sic] epic meme,” one commented on Instagram with laughing emojis.
“Lawddd I was like…ummm ummm we’re [sic] they shooting that movie while they were messing around? Right in his backyard,” another fan chimed in.
“Somebody knew on that movie set wow this was dirty,” another alleged.
Jada and Alsina met in 2015, two years before the release of Girls Trip. Their relationship reportedly ended at the end of 2018.
