In the late 1990s, Bundchen moved abroad to launch an international modeling career. She walked for fashion shows in cities like New York and London. Bundchen also landed prestigious magazine covers, such as Vogue.
By the early 2000s, Bundchen had become a star. In 2000, she walked in the popular Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and wore the brand’s Fantasy Bra.
Bundchen soon became one of the most powerful people in the fashion industry. For years, she has continued to be one of the highest paid models in the world.
Gisele Bundchen is starting to take care of her eyes at age 40
Bundchen is now 40 and has some wisdom she picked up over the years. She recently participated in a Dior Skincare Digital Talk to promote the brand’s new eye serum, the Capture Totale Super Potent Eye Serum. Bundchen also revealed is taking care of her eyes more nowadays.
“I feel like the eyes are definitely the most sensitive part of the face,” she shared while talking about the serum. “As I’m maturing, [my eyes are] where—I definitely notice—I want to have the most care.”
She added, “I guess in your 20s, you don’t really care so much about [it].” Bundchen went on to describe how her method of removing makeup has changed as well to not be so harsh on her eyes.
“I feel like the eyes are the window of the soul,” she said. “As I’m now 40… I’m more aware of it than ever.”

During the talk, Bundchen also gave her thoughts on aging. She seems happy to be 40 and is feeling positive about the coming decade.
“I think the 40s are going to be awesome,” she said. “The 20s were a little challenging—I’m not going to lie. The 30s, I was getting a grip on stuff. Now the 40s, I’m like, ‘Let’s go!’”
Bundchen also shared a similar sentiment a few months after she turned 40 in 2020.
“Age is a beautiful thing and a natural part of life, but it can also be challenging,” she told Allure. “I’ve definitely seen changes in my skin over the years. When I look at these changes and see a reflection of all the years I’ve lived so far, I feel an incredible sense of gratitude.”
She continued, “As I’ve gotten older, I have grown more comfortable in my own skin, and I’m grateful for every experience, and every year of my life so far.”
