Teddy Duncan had a few different boyfriends (and crushes) during Good Luck Charlie but none were featured more than Spencer Walsh.

Their relationship didn’t exactly get off to a good start, though, when the middle Duncan child learned that Spencer was cheating on her. Here’s what we know about these characters and their relationship in this Disney Channel series.

Spencer Walsh cheated on Teddy from ‘Good Luck Charlie’

It’s not easy trying to date when your family is always getting in the way, take it from Teddy Duncan. Viewers met Teddy’s first crush during the first episode of this Disney Channel series, titled “Study Date.” That was Spencer, a super cute guy from her school.

Eventually, the two characters dated and even kissed, which was a pretty big deal for Teddy Duncan, and she shared during her video diary. The relationship wasn’t always great, though. During the “Girl Bites Dog” episode of Good Luck Charlie, Teddy learned that her boyfriend was cheating on her.

She dumped him and the other girl literally dumped a smoothie on him. During the “Teddy’s Broken Heart Club Band” episode, Teddy teamed up with Spencer’s other girlfriend, Skyler, to perform in a talent show.

Teddy Duncan and Spencer dated during ‘Good Luck Charlie’

During the “Can You Keep a Secret?” episode, Teddy and Spencer start dating again, after Teddy realizes she still has feelings for him. Unfortunately, that second try at the relationship doesn’t work out, either.

Spencer is older than Teddy so, after being accepted to a college in Boston, the couple tries to make a long-distance relationship work. It doesn’t and the two decide to break up, with Teddy dating one of her father’s employees, Beau, shortly after.

During the “Teddy’s Choice” episode, Spencer returns to Denver and shares that he still likes Teddy, asking her to choose between him and her current boyfriend. However, Teddy decided that they should just be friends and continues to date Beau.

Everything changes, though, when Teddy learns she’ll be attending Yale University, which is only a short car ride away from Spencer’s college. In one of the last episodes of Good Luck Charlie, these two decide to give their relationship one more chance.
