Hallmark Channel made some big changes in 2021, breaking the hearts of many viewers when it decided to cancel several long-running TV shows. From Good Witch to Picture Perfect Mysteries, here are the Hallmark series that won’t be back in 2022.

Cassie Nightingale (Catherine Bell) has been a fixture on Hallmark Channel since 2008, when the first Good Witch movie premiered. After seven made-for-TV movies, Good Witch became a TV series in 2014, and it ran for seven seasons. But the spell was broken in July 2021, when Hallmark announced the season 7 finale would be the show’s last episode, which aired July 25.

‘Home & Family’ is another canceled Hallmark Channel TV show

Another long-running Hallmark Channel show came to end in early August when the final episode of the network’s daytime talk show Home & Family aired. The show, which was hosted by Debbie Matenopoulos and Cameron Mathison, had lasted nine seasons.

“For nearly a decade, [Home & Family] has anchored our daytime lineup, featuring countless hours of cooking, lifestyle, DIY, health, entertaining, and decorating segments,” Hallmark said in a statement to TVLine. “We want to thank the heart and soul of the show, our incredibly talented cast and crew … for their creativity, hard work and dedication.”

ER alum Kellie Martin has starred in the Hailey Dean Mysteries on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries since 2016. She’s appeared in nine movies featuring the title character, a former prosecutor turned marriage and family therapist. The last one aired in 2019, but fans had been holding out for another installment in the series, which also starred Viv Leacock from When Calls the Heart. But in December 2021, Martin delivered some bad news.

“Just found out that Hailey Dean is done at Hallmark,” she tweeted. “Really sad and sorry to report.”

‘Picture Perfect Mysteries’ is also canceled

The Hailey Dean Mysteries wasn’t the only series Hallmark Movies & Mysteries decided to cancel. Picture Perfect Mysteries, which starred husband-wife couple Alexa and Carlos PenaVega has also come to an end. Three movies aired between 2019 and 2020, but there are no plans for future films, Alexa revealed in a November 2021 Instagram update (via Heavy).

“Sadly, no,” she wrote in response to a fan question about the future of the series. “The mysteries have come to an end. But it was so much fun, such a good run, and we’re really proud of what we made.”

The season finale aired in October, and since then, fans have been waiting to learn if the show will return for a sixth season.
