‘Good Witch’ Teases Grace’s Return: Is Bailee Madison Coming Back to the Hallmark Channel Show?

Is a Good Witch reunion in the works? A teaser for the May 30 episode of the Hallmark Channel series hints that a beloved character might be coming back to the show. 

In an extended sneak peek for “The Delivery,” Cassie (Catherine Bell) talks to her husband Sam (James Denton) about her daughter Grace (Bailee Madison) returning home. But is Madison — who left Good Witch after its fifth season — really coming back?

Grace has not been seen in Middleton since the end of Good Witch Season 5. Madison decided to move on after her character graduated from high school, with her absence explained as being away at college. 

Now, it sounds like Grace is finally planning a visit home. In the sneak peek, Sam chides his wife for staying up until 3 a.m. baking muffins. She says she only has nine hours left to get everything ready for when Grace comes home. We then learn that Grace has spent the past six months studying abroad in Spain.

The Good Witch sneak peek certainly makes it seem like Grace will soon be back at Grey House, at least for a visit. But it’s also possible that something could happen that would delay her return. However, there’s a big clue that we will see Grace in “The Delivery.” 

Hallmark has released a cast list for the upcoming episode, and Madison’s name is included. We’ll also see Taylor Levely as 8-year-old Grace. We know from Hallmark’s episode description that Cassie will be reminiscing about her own baby shower as she, Abigail (Sarah Power), and Stephanie (Kylee Evans) help Martha (Catherine Disher) plan a celebration for her pregnant daughter-in-law. It’s possible that we’ll only see Grace in flashbacks, perhaps first as a child and then again as a young adult. Or, we could see her in the present day as she pays a visit to her mom and stepfather after her time abroad. 

A new face arrives in Middleton in ‘Good Witch’ Season 7 Episode 3

The next episode of Good Witch will also feature the introduction of a new character. Kyana Teresa will play Zoey Taylor in “The Delivery.” 

So far, we don’t know anything about the character Teresa will play. But some Good Witch fans are convinced she’s a love interest for Joy (Katherine Barrell). In a behind-the-scenes look at season 7 (via YouTube), series star Bell says “everyone’s exploring different aspects of romance.” At the same time, we see Joy carefully adjusting Zoey’s bowtie. 

If Zoey is a love interest for Joy, it will mark the first time we’ve seen a same-sex romance in one of Hallmark Channel’s scripted series. (The network has begun to feature LGBTQ characters in some of its movies.)
