Gordon Ramsay is Recruiting 16 to 21-Year-Olds ‘Ready To Go on an Adventure’ for His New Show
Masterchef Gordon Ramsay is taking on yet another challenge with a new upcoming show. Already busy with his bevy of restaurants, reality shows on Fox Network and National Geographic, and a full home life with his wife and five kids, the Hell’s Kitchen star is preparing to span the globe and is enlisting some lucky travelers to join him.
‘Masterchef’ is adding to his already packed list of shows
Renowned for his delectable cuisine (and his notorious foul language), Ramsay has very little down time thanks to his many television shows and social media platforms. He continues to head Hell’s Kitchen, Hotel Hell, The F Word, 24 Hours to Hell and Back, and Kitchen Nightmares, and that’s just on Fox Network.
In 2019, the Michelin-starred chef launched the National Geographic show Uncharted. Following Ramsay through various parts of the world, the adventure series highlights cultural cuisine and some adventurous escapades with the culinary icon at the helm.
“It was an extraordinary expedition to bring Uncharted to life,” Ramsay said, according to the Business Wire press release in July 2019. “My passion for adventure has made me not only a better chef but also a fearless apprentice of all cultures, which makes it so exciting for me to work with National Geographic, who’ve been taking exploration to the limit for their entire storied history.”
Uncharted recently aired its second season, with season 3 already on order.
Gordon Ramsay offers a golden opportunity
Apparently, Ramsay has no plans of slowing down any time soon. Taking to Twitter to announce a new show, the culinary icon is recruiting some young people with an appetite for adventure.
“Hi guys! It’s Gordon,” Ramsay tweeted in a video in August. “Studio Ramsay is now casting for 16 to 21-year-olds for a brand new, exciting adventure travel show for a major network.”
Describing some qualities he’s seeking in applicants, Ramsay is offering those with a love of food and globetrotting to be a part of the program.
“The show will involve some extraordinary challenges in some of the most beautiful countries,” the chef explained. “So, guess what? We’re looking for talented young people, with a passion for food, adventure, and have a strong curiosity to experience and discover new cultures.”
Applying for Gordon Ramsay’s new adventure series
Linking to the application from Ramsay’s tweet, the job description appears to be quite tantalizing.
“Do you dream of traveling to an international destination?” the casting site reads. “Do you have a desire to explore the world? Do you have a passion for culture, food, and adventure?”
Noting that filming will take place with implemented COVID-19 protocols, applicants are encouraged to give their best pitch as to why they should be selected for this worldwide excursion.
Those planning on throwing their hat in the ring need to bring their A game when filling out the application. With 45 questions to fill out, potential candidates are asked to describe their proudest accomplishments, most adventurous dishes they’ve eaten, fears and phobias, and any outdoors skills and hobbies.
While this is clearly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, Ramsay’s upcoming adventure show will most likely be selecting candidates sturdy in spirit and stamina. No word yet on when filming begins, but anyone aspiring to join Ramsay in globetrotting should probably apply sooner rather than later.
