The November 2021 crossover event involving Grey’s Anatomy and Station 19 put Bailey and Ben Warren (Jason Winston George) in a tough position. It all started with an explosion on the firefighter show. A man accidentally hit a gas line, and it blew up multiple houses.

The station responded to the emergency by evacuating people and turning off the gas. But gas was built up inside some of the homes, and the embers led to one of them exploding. This explosion killed Dean Miller (Okieriete Onaodowan).

Ben worked on Dean in the ambulance, which was heading to Grey-Sloan. Sadly, Dean was already dead. Ben revealed to Bailey on Grey’s Anatomy that he agreed to take in Dean’s daughter if anything happened to him. He never talked about this with Bailey, and she was upset. But she later met Pruitt Arike Miller and seemed open to the idea. How many kids does the surgeon already have?

How many kids does Miranda Bailey have?

Bailey started already married to Tucker Jones (Bashir Salahuddin) on Grey’s Anatomy. She eventually gave birth to their first and only son, William George Bailey Jones. 

She gave birth during the bomb scare in season 2. Tucker wasn’t happy about Bailey’s long hours as a surgeon. They got divorced after he disapproved of her applying for a fellowship.

Bailey later married Ben. She found out in season 16 that she was not only perimenopausal but pregnant. Ben started his new career on Station 19 by then. Sadly, she had a miscarriage.

Joey Phillips (Noah A. Gerry) and his siblings were homeless. He was brought to the hospital after he was injured while searching an empty warehouse. His siblings were put in foster care while he stayed to have surgery. Bailey brought in his siblings to visit him while he was recovering. She bonded with him, and now he lives with her and Ben. That means she is taking care of two children.
