‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Star Camilla Luddington Posts Touching Mother’s Day Photo With Daughter Hayden and a Tribute To Her Late Mom
Camilla Luddington of Grey’s Anatomy is expecting her second child with husband Matthew Alan. In celebration of Mother’s Day this past weekend, the actress shared a heartwarming photo of herself along with her 3-year-old daughter Hayden, who is eagerly awaiting the arrival of her sibling.
In her post, Luddington also sent loving thoughts to her late mom who passed away when the Grey’s star was just a teenager.

The British actress recently paid tribute to her late mother on social media, sharing the close bond she still feels with her mom.
“My mum died 17 years ago today,” Luddington wrote in March on Instagram. “I believe she visits me in my dreams ❤️ whenever she is in them they are always so incredibly vivid and I always remember them in the morning. I miss her everyday but I know she is still with me.. ❤️❤️❤️”
Luddington’s mother unexpectedly passed away when the actress was only 19 years old, which caused many unresolved feelings that manifested into anxiety for the Grey’s star after Hayden’s birth in April 2017.
“When I had a child, a lot of my own trauma from losing my mom when I was younger kind of came up with me now being a parent to my own daughter,” Luddington told Bustle. “I started to get a lot of anxiety. I was constantly afraid that I was going to die early and leave her.”
The actress sought out counseling to deal with her emotions and is grateful for the help of therapy. “There was so much strength and, honestly, release in being able to go and seek out a therapist and speak about it to somebody,” she said.

As many celebs shared their highlights of Mother’s Day this past weekend, Luddington posted a stunning black-and-white photo of herself with Hayden to commemorate the occasion and included a loving remembrance of her mom.
“Happy Mother’s Day!!!!! This is my little one 🥰🥰,” the Grey’s actress wrote on Instagram. “My heart BURSTS on a daily basis. #happymothersday
Also blowing kisses up to alllll the mamas in heaven like mine. Looking down upon us. That bond is so powerful it cannot be broken.”
British actress is a proud mama on social media
Luddington has made a tradition out of posting motherhood news on social media, where she announced her pregnancy with Hayden as well as sharing a video to announce her arrival in April 2017.
Recently revealing that she is expecting her second child, the British actress once again decided to divulge the news on Instagram with the help of a famous female icon.
“Me: ‘I’m just gonna do a super casual pregnancy announcement.’
Also me: ‘I NEED PRINCESSES!!!!!’ ” she captioned a photo of herself with Cinderella gesturing to Luddington’s baby bump. “Okay so… Matt and I are so happy to fiiiiinally post after months of “hiding” that i am pregnant! We are beyond excited to add to our little family and give Hayden a sibling.”
Luddington apparently had taken a break from posting due to the challenges that sometimes accompany pregnancy.
“And yes, I’ve been away a lot from social media the past few months because OMGGGG the exhaustion and OMGGGGGG the morning (read: alllllll day) sickness,” she wrote. “Have I been 🤮 mid filming at work? Yep! Oh the glamor of growing new humans 🤣. But in all seriousness, we feel so lucky and I can’t wait to bring you guys along for the remaining months of this baby #2 journey!!”
She concluded her post with a nod to her helpful Disney princess. “Shout out to the one and only Cinderella for helping me with this pic yesterday 🥰 ❤️❤️❤️❤️,” Luddington wrote.
