The shows returned with a cross over

Station 19 and Grey’s Anatomy’s last episodes aired on Oct. 21. There was then a short break.

But ABC released a teaser that revealed the shows would be back on Nov. 11 with a crossover event. An explosion goes off in it, and it’s unsaid what causes it. Travis Montgomery (Jay Hayden) does say there was a second explosion.

Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) is then shown calling her husband, Ben Warren (Jason George), but he’s not picking up. The hospital is then shown preparing to take a lot of trauma patients.

It has been teased since then that a Station 19 character will die. Well, the episodes have finally aired, revealing the death and what caused the explosions.

What caused the explosion in the ‘Grey’s Anatomy and ‘Station 19’ crossover?

Station 19 kicked off the crossover event. At first, it seemed like it would be a slow day for the firefighters but then there was an explosion, and they immediately called to respond.

Their fire truck stopped at a neighborhood where there were multiple burned-down houses. They evacuated the families. A man was digging an irrigation trench and accidentally hit a gas line. He claimed there wasn’t a gas line on the map.

It didn’t take long for them to realize the situation was only going to get worse. Victoria Hugues (Barrett Doss) was on a ladder watering one of the buildings. An electric wire snapped, hit her, and she immediately fell over. Dean Miller (Okieriete Onaodowan) gave her CPR, and she woke up. She was taken down to be moved to Grey-Sloan Memorial.

Help was struggling to come because of traffic, so the firefighters turned off the gas themselves. They also moved Victoria themselves to aid cars that were two blocks away.

It looked like everything would be safe until they noticed that one of the houses had been taken off its foundation. Water and gas were inside it, and a flame caused another explosion that hurt Miller and Captain Pat Aquino (Alain Uy).

How did the explosion play out on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’?

Grey’s Anatomy started like a normal day. Megan Hunt (Abigail Spencer) was seeing her son, Farouk (Bardia Seiri), off for surgery for his failing heart. But the sweet moment was interrupted by the explosion.

The doctors felt it and were worried. Ben eventually goes to the hospital with Miller. He was working on Miller the whole time there, but his heart was still not beating. Sadly, Miller was dead on arrival.
