According to ABC, Grey’s Anatomy isn’t on tonight because Round 1 of the 2021 NFL Draft is scheduled to air 8:00-11:30 p.m. ET. The broadcast will also be available to watch on ESPN and NFL Network.
Meanwhile, no new episode of Grey’s Anatomy Season 17 also means Station 19 Season 4 and Rebel Season 1 will experience a break. That said, TGIT fans won’t have to wait long before the shows come back.
When will ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ return with the next new episode of season 17?
Don’t fret — Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19, and Rebel are only taking one week off. So Grey’s Anatomy Season 17 Episode 14 will return on Thursday, May 6, at 9 p.m. ET. The new episode will also be sandwiched between Station 19 Season 4 Episode 14 at 8 p.m. ET and Rebel Season 1 Episode 4 at 10 p.m. ET.

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 17 Episode 14 is about Jackson, April, and Robert
Many fans are hyped about Grey’s Anatomy Season 17 Episode 14. The promo trailer for “Look Up Child” confirmed April’s return and her onscreen reunion with Jackson. The network also revealed Jackson will visit his estranged father, Robert Avery (Eric Roberts).
Meanwhile, Drew recently dropped a few clues about the next Grey’s Anatomy episode.
“It’s just beautifully written,” Drew told Us Weekly. “I think everybody will feel that it is a very special episode in so many ways. It really is focused on Jackson … April plays a significant part and so does Eric Roberts, who plays his father.”
She added, “We get to see Jackson go through something big.”

For now, Grey’s Anatomy fans will just have to wait and see what “big” storyline awaits for Jackson, April, and Robert. But whatever happens next, many fans are happy to see Japril together again.
That said, it seems not much has changed since Drew left the series in Grey’s Anatomy Season 14. When speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Drew updated fans on Jackson and April’s current relationship, and they’re still co-parenting their daughter, Harriet Kepner-Avery. The actor also confirmed April and Matthew Taylor (Justin Bruening) are still together and married.
“She’s still living in Seattle with Matthew, and co-parenting Harriet,” Drew said of April. “That’s where we pick her up. … It’s important to realize that nothing changed in their interaction of co-parenting this child. They’ve seen one another, they’ve been co-parenting this whole time.”
Jackson and April have been through it all on Grey’s Anatomy. Now, get ready for their new journey next week. We know it’s going to be extraordinary.
