The Voice Season 26 is in full swing. Fans are watching Gwen Stefani and Reba McEntire battle it out once more alongside newcomers Michael Bublé and Snoop Dogg. Stefani and McEntire shared the stage in the past, and rumors suggested they didn’t get along. Now, another source says that those close to the two coaches predict things could get “nasty” between them on the show.

Those around Gwen Stefani and Reba McEntire think they’ll get ‘nasty’ in ‘The Voice’ Season 26

Gwen Stefani and Reba McEntire are back to coach on The Voice Season 26, and they’re both looking for wins. McEntire originally replaced Stefani’s husband, Blake Shelton, when he left the series after season 23. At the time, rumors swirled that Stefani didn’t like McEntire replacing Shelton. And the rumors of a feud between the two women prevail in season 26.

A source told Life & Style that McEntire “tends to dominate over her peers,” and that’s not changing this season.

“During the last season, Reba really found her groove and an in with the bosses, her fellow coaches, and the audience, and became a behind-the-scenes mentor herself, but don’t let that maternal side fool you,” an insider explained. “She’s extremely competitive and bossy and tends to dominate over her peers and associates.”

The insider noted that McEntire is “welcoming” Stefani back “with a Chesire grin” and letting Stefani know she’s “in charge” this season. However, McEntire may have met her match with Stefani, as Stefani also likes to take on a dominant role in the show.

“Gwen doesn’t have Blake [Shelton] to protect her anymore, and people around them predict it’s going to get nasty because Gwen always liked to be the center of attention before and expects it to be the same going into this season,” the source continued.

A source claimed Gwen Stefani was ‘gunning’ for Reba McEntire in ‘The Voice’ Season 24

Reba McEntire Says Gwen Stefani Was ‘Intimidating’ in ‘The Voice’ Season 24

Before The Voice Season 24 began, a source told Radar Online that Gwen Stefani wasn’t happy with Reba McEntire replacing Blake Shelton. The insider said that “Gwen is gunning for Reba” to ensure the country star “falls in line” for her first season.

Another insider claimed that Stefani hoped to “take over the reins” of the show with Shelton gone. However, McEntire’s entrance may have ruined her chance. Fans were excited to see the country queen take a stab at coaching, and her entrance overshadowed Stefani’s return.

“Blake has been the king of the coaches since the start of the show, and Gwen saw his departure as a chance to really shine and take over the reins,” the source claimed.

Contrary to this, Shelton expressed his gratitude and happiness over McEntire taking over his role. He called McEntire “authentic” with an unmatched “raw, natural talent” that would certainly enhance the show.

The 2 coaches might’ve tried to destroy the feud rumors on Instagram

Are Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani really feuding as The Voice Season 26 continues? They appeared to try and disrupt the rumors with an Instagram clip of their friendship. Stefani posted a clip of her and McEntire posing, dancing, and walking down a hallway like a runway on The Voice set together. They playfully showed their freshly manicured nails to the camera and seemed to have a wonderful time goofing around together backstage.

“Everything’s better with a friend,” Stefani captioned the clip and tagged McEntire. Fans enjoy seeing the famous women having fun.

“Yaaas queens! Love this! Two girlfriends having a blast on their show!” a fan commented.

“Two actual living legends,” another fan wrote.

The Voice Season 26 airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
