Like many showbiz kids, Gwyneth Paltrow was more or less destined for fame.

The Academy Award-winning actress is the daughter of actress Blythe Danner and producer Bruce Paltrow, so she more or less has Hollywood in her blood. She’s even the goddaughter of Steven Spielberg!

No surprise, then, to learn that acting isn’t Paltrow’s only talent. She also has an incredible singing voice, so much so that she has actually shown it off in a few different places.

The most famous movie where Gwyneth Paltrow sang was Duets

Perhaps it ended up being a bit of a flop at the box office, but that doesn’t mean that Duets was a bad movie.

According to Work and Money, Paltrow collaborated with her own dad for the film, which revolved around a daughter (Paltrow) and her con-man father (played by Huey Lewis) who decide to follow their dreams by entering a karaoke contest that comes with a sizable cash prize.

In the movie, you can hear Paltrow sing many times, and she actually has a really lovely singing voice! Sometimes when actors try to sing in movies, it doesn’t always come out right (looking at you Colin Firth in Mamma Mia!) but that’s not the case with Paltrow — she really has a set of pipes!

Paltrow also sang in another movie as well

Even though she has chops, Paltrow has never seriously considered turning her singing into a bigger part of her career. Nonetheless, she did end up singing again in the 2010 movie Country Song.

In the film, she plays a country singer named Kelly Canter who is married to her manager (played by Tim McGraw). According to Billboard, she did all of her own singing while in character for the movie.

Paltrow also appeared on Glee for a while. Since the cast of the show famously performs all of their own songs, Paltrow got a chance to show off her singing talents then, as well.

Despite having a lovely voice, she’s a lot more passionate about acting

The Most Important Lesson Gwyneth Paltrow Learned From Her Breakup With Brad Pitt

Yes, she can sing, but if you know of Gwyneth Paltrow, chances are way higher that you know her for her acting career. She won an Academy Award for the movie Shakespeare in Love, but she has also had a lot of other really high-profile roles as well.

She was in Se7en, Emma, Great Expectations, Sliding Doors, and Contagion, and many others.

However, her most high-profile role recently is thanks to the MCU. Though she originally appeared in the Iron Man series, Paltrow (as Pepper Potts) has gone on to show up in a number of other Marvel movies, including Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War.

Paltrow has had a lot of high-profile TV roles as well. We already mentioned her singing role on Glee, but she’s also appeared on The New Normal, Web Therapy, and as Georgina Hobart on The Politician.

Of course, Goop takes up a lot of Paltrow’s focus these days

Even though she is passionate about acting, even that has often taken a backseat to another big passion in Gwyneth Paltrow’s world — her lifestyle brand, Goop.

The focus of the brand is curating cultural and lifestyle products and experiences for those with high-end tastes and a penchant for the unique and artful.

The brand has received a lot of criticism and controversy over the years. This is mostly because the products featured are so over-the-top, decadent, and have such astronomical price tags that they seem out of reach for the average person.

Yet Paltrow must be doing something right, because the lifestyle brand continues to be a huge success, earning devoted followers the world over.

If Paltrow can sing, act, be a mom, AND be an internationally recognized cultural entrepreneur…what can’t she do?!
