Netflix’s new movie, The Union, is generating buzz, especially with the powerhouse duo of Halle Berry and Mark Wahlberg. The spy action comedy-thriller dives into the dark world of espionage and covert operations. The LA premiere yesterday sought to promote The Union far and wide. But all eyes were on Berry, who looked incredible in a particularly risque outfit.

Set against the backdrop of global political intrigue, The Union follows a seasoned CIA operative (Wahlberg) forced out of retirement for one last mission. His objective is to track down a rogue agent who threatens to unleash a dangerous weapon of mass destruction. As the plot thickens, the mission becomes a race against time. Wahlberg’s character forms an unlikely alliance with his high school sweetheart, a mysterious former operative (Berry).

Berry’s role in The Union marks another chapter in her impressive career, showcasing the 57-year-old’s versatility and strength in action-packed roles. Known for her intense preparation and dedication to her characters, the X-Men star brings depth to her character, Roxanne Hall. Wahlberg, with his extensive experience in action films, creates a dynamic on-screen partnership with Berry.

Berry chose a black lacy midi dress for the LA premiere. The lingerie-inspired piece included panels of sheer fabric with floral designs sewn across the more revealing areas of the gown. The Monster’s Ball star went bra-less for the bodysuit-esque look. She wore black Mary Jane heels with double straps. Keeping her makeup and jewelry simple, Berry opted for silver hoop earrings and Kallati diamond rings.

The production of The Union has been a major undertaking for Netflix, with a substantial budget and an ambitious vision. Directed by Julian Farino, the movie was filmed in London, Slovenia, Italy, and New Jersey. The film’s high production values, combined with A-list co-stars, position The Union as a must-watch for fans of the genre.

Berry’s last movie appearance was 2022’s Moonfall. The sci-fi disaster film follows two astronauts who discover a hidden truth about the moon. The next year was a rather quiet one for the Cleveland native. However, 2024 includes both The Union and the survival horror Never Let Go. The latter will premiere in theaters on September 27.
