Halsey released her album If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power in August 2021. The album is nominated for Best Alternative Music Album at the upcoming 2022 Grammy Awards. On March 19, Halsey posted multiple times on her Instagram story hinting that she wants to release new music soon.

Halsey wants to release new music

On March 19, Halsey posted multiple updates on their Instagram story. In the first post on her Instagram story, the singer shared that they wanted to release a “pop album.”

“Due to personal reasons I will be making a pop album,” Halsey wrote on their Instagram story,

In the next post, the singer wrote that they had an “incredible song” they wanted to release. However, she felt like she needed to complete the Love and Power Tour first.

“I have an incredible song that I could put out as a single for radio next but I feel like that’s insane to bc I haven’t even toured iichliwp yet idk,” the singer wrote on her Instagram story.

In the last update on her Instagram story, Halsey teased that she actually had multiple songs she could release.

“I actually have like a few,” Halsey wrote. “Idk what to dooooo.”

After Halsey posted on her Instagram story, fans of the singer-songwriter reacted to the possibility of new music on social media.

“my heart says release them, but if she wanted to make it fun she could leak them on the iichliwp tour first hahah,” one fan wrote on Reddit.

One Reddit user wrote, “This is very typical Halsey tbh, I always expect each project to sound different from the last, however I did not think she would be returning to mainstream pop. Regardless, I’m looking forward to any new music!”

“She has a voice for pop. Unique and beautiful,” wrote a Reddit user.

One fan wrote on Reddit, “Wasn’t Badlands Live recorded after HFK singles were being released? So they were still touring the last album then. Release!!!!”

The singer will tour ‘If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power’

Halsey’s album If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power was produced by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. The album contains multiple genres including alternative rock and pop-punk.

Beginning in May, Halsey will tour the album with the Love and Power Tour. The tour will take place in the U.S. and Canada.

“I haven’t done a US tour since 2017/2018 this is so unbelievably exciting to me. Last time I preformed for you all here at home, I was 23 and I was sad and life looked so different. I can’t wait to show you how I’ve grown and the monster this show has become,” they tweeted about the tour.
