Halsey will be able to release ‘So Good’ in June

On May 31, Capitol Music shared a message on social media for Halsey. In the social media post, the label confirmed that the singer’s song “So Good” will be released on June 9.

“We are an artist first company that encourages open dialogue. We have nothing but a desire to help each one of our artists succeed, and hope that we can continue to have these critical conversations,” Capitol Music wrote in a statement.

Halsey released a statement of her own along with the official artwork for “So Good.”

“I didn’t expect so much conversation about this record, all I know is that I wanted you guys to hear it and now you can. So Good, song on June 9th and video the next day. Endy gave me my flowers,” the singer wrote on Twitter.

Halsey claimed she was not able to release the song the way she wanted

Capitol Music Group’s statement to Halsey comes a little over a week after the singer-songwriter claimed they were not able to release a song because of their label.

On May 22, Halsey posted a new TikTok while a brief clip of “So Good” played. The singer then mouthed along to the lyrics of the song while text was displayed. In the TikTok, Halsey alleged that their record label was not allowing them to release a new song the way she wants.

The text on the Tiktok reads:

“Basically I have a song that I love that I want to release ASAP, but my record label won’t let me. I’ve been in this industry for 8 years and I’ve sold over 165 million records. And my record company is saying that I can’t release it unless they can fake a viral moment on TikTok. Everything is marketing. And they are doing this to basically every artist these days. I just want to release music, man. And I deserve better tbh.”
