Hannah Berner from ‘Summer House’ Drops Some Serious Tea About the Cast
If Summer House were to appoint an unofficial narrator, Hannah Berner would be the best person for the role. Berner has the gift of observation and an amazing funny bone. Plus she tells it like it is, which is what she did when she spilled some epic juice with Diana Espir from the You Can’t Sit With ME podcast.
Berner let it rip, revealing what she thinks is going on with Jordan Verroi. Plus she sets the record straight about the comments she made about Lindsay Hubbard. She also drops some serious hints about whether she’s now in a relationship with British Dave.
So what’s Jordan’s game?
Verroi came in hot when he joined the Summer House this season. His “young hot stud” vibe quickly turned into something that resembled more like a player without game. In fact, the cast thinks perhaps Verroi is hiding that maybe he’s still a virgin. One reason is that Verroi goes overboard with the sexual exploits talk. He had an outlandish story about his “first time” that resembled what happened in The 40-Year-Old Virgin. Plus he boasted to Kyle Cooke and Carl Radke that he made out with three women in one night.
So what’s he hiding? “When you are lying so much you are clearly trying to cover, a truth,” Berner told Espir. “He never said what he is hiding. Or that he is hiding something.”
Since Berner knew Verroi before Summer House she shared some insight on what she knows about him. “He never talks bad about anyone. Like I’ve known him for two years,” she says. “I feel like he was trying to be cool and didn’t realize he was coming off like a f**king douchebag.” Both Berner and Espir were not thrilled with the way Verroi approached his relationship with Danielle Olivera early in the season.
This is how she really feels about Lindsay Hubbard
Hubbard, who is a Summer House OG made a few shady comments about Berner during the season. Earlier in the season she approached Berner like Cher from Clueless and wanted to do a makeover on her. Then she likened Berner, Paige DeSorbo and Amanda Batula to high school girls, asserting there was a “maturity situation.”
Berner then said that she didn’t want to “end up” like Hubbard at her age. Espir asked Berner to clarify what she meant by the comment. “Because Lindsay was making fun of how I was flirting and me not being girly enough,” Berner recounts. “It was less about age and more like we’re in the same situation. We’re both f**king single so don’t come at me.”
What may have gotten Berner into trouble was adding the age factor into the equation. “I said, ‘at her age’ at the end and it made people think that I was talking about like ‘how dare she be at her age,'” Berner added. “I was more like saying at your age you are in the same position as me so don’t try to tell me what to do.”
And is she dating ‘British Dave’ still?
In the latest episodes, Berner seems to have found summer love with a cute Brit named Dave. While most of the summer house flings are just that–flings–Berner accidentally revealed if she’s still seeing Dave.
She says one aspect that drew her to Dave was his height. “Dave is 6’6,” that’s what I was attracted to,” Berner dished. Espir tried to get Berner to reveal if she and Dave are still dating. “I cannot confirm or deny,” Berner says. But Espir says the way Berner is talking about Dave leads her to believe they are totally still dating.
Berner laughs at this comment. “The story of me and Dave is I got out of my sh*tty ass breakup and he was like the first guy I matched with,” she shares. But Berner adds the two have been on and off. However, after she hooked up with an Australian guy, her Brit got heated. Dave came around and Berner says they were connected when the show started on Bravo.
