Hannah Brown Accused of Deleting Comments After Her N-Word Scandal
Hannah Brown is knee-deep in drama but this time, it has nothing to do with her dating life. The 25-year-old found herself in hot water after a recent Instagram live. While on live, Brown sang along to a popular rap song. While The Bachelorette alum had the instinct to skip over the f word, she didn’t extend the same courtesy to the n-word and instead mumbled it before continuing the song.
Things only escalated from there. When a fan called Brown out for using the word in the comment section, she had a strange reaction. At first, she seemed remorseful, but then she began laughing it off. Following her laughter, she began speculating that actually she used the word. As Brown is a public figure with over 2.8 million Instagram followers, her faux pas quickly sparked outrage and a lot of conversation.
Tyler Cameron and Rachel Lindsay Abasolo speak out the incident
Many supporters began expressing their disappointment with Brown for using the racial slur with a hard r. Furthermore, many others from The Bachelor franchise have spoken out about Brown’s lapse in judgment. Two of the most prominent people are former Bachelorette, Rachel Lindsay Abasolo and Brown’s ex-boyfriend, Tyler Cameron. Seeing the outrage that she caused, Brown took to her Instagram story to address the situation.
“I owe you all a major apology. There is no excuse and I will not justify what I said. I have read your messages and I have seen the hurt I caused. I own it all. I am terribly sorry and know that whether in public or private, this language is unacceptable. I promise to do better,” Brown wrote in a since-expired Instagram story.
Instagram users weigh in on Hannah Brown and her apology
Unfortunately, Brown chose to utilize Instagram story for her apology, meaning that it was only accessible for 24 hours. Naturally, there are plenty of people who are unaware that she even made an apology. Furthermore, many people, who did see the apology, felt that it was lukewarm at best and are demanding more from Brown. As the Alabama native has been M.I.A. on Instagram, people have taken to the comment section on her most recent post to express their opinions on the situation.
Brown has managed to rack up over 23,000 comments on her latest Instagram post. While there are a mix of opinions, many people have accused the former beauty queen of deleting negative comments in favor of ones that show her support. “Wow she is deleting comments and leaving up those defending her. She deleted mine,😯 ” one person wrote. “Stop deleting comments, Hannah. OWN your mistakes and post a video of yourself apologizing. If not, this will just drag on forever,” yet another person chimed in.
‘The Bachelorette’ alum is being accused of deleting comments
“She’s erasing comments and only leaving the ones where people agree with her😂🤡 there were comments with thousands of likes telling her to say sorry and she erased them🤡😂😂. And look at the people agreeing with the top comments 90% white😂😂😂 they’re telling themselves it’s ok,😂😂” yet another person added.
But, some people are convinced that Brown isn’t deleting negative comments at all. They feel that her fans are simply reporting comments to Instagram and they’re being deleted. “Think fans are reporting to Instagram as hate comments. I really don’t think mentally anyone could take going through these comments every day,” one person declared. It’s impossible to say if Brown really is deleting comments or if other factors are at play. But, no matter what the truth is, hopefully, Brown learns a lot from this messy situation.
