Hannah Brown: Will She Be ‘The Bachelorette’ Again?
Hannah Brown is one of the all-time fan-favorite leads to come out of The Bachelorette. Just take a look at her social media following. She’s the most-followed lead and former contestant with over 2.5 million followers. A year after Brown led her own season, she was in negotiations to lead The Bachelorette again. It didn’t work out that time around, with former contestants Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams both leading a season instead. But would Brown be The Bachelorette again in the future? Read on to find out.
Hannah Brown’s season of ‘The Bachelorette’
Brown was sent home from Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor. The Alabama beauty queen then took her love journey into her own hands on The Bachelorette. Many fans rooted for Tyler Cameron, Mike Johnson, and Peter Weber. Some rooted against show “villains” Luke Parker and Jed Wyatt.
Brown became a fan-favorite due to her no-nonsense attitude to the men on her season. She was also unabashedly forward when it came to expressing her sexuality. Fans applauded Brown after she sent Parker home for how he treated her during Fantasy Suites week.
How her season ended
The Alabama native ended up getting engaged to Wyatt. He was controversial due to being involved with another woman back home prior to and after production. Brown called off their engagement and asked out show runner-up Cameron on a date. She and Cameron are still friends to this day. They even quarantined together during the start of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020.
Many fans are still hopeful to watch Brown find love, and would likely tune into another season of hers on ABC.
Will Hannah Brown be ‘The Bachelorette’ again?
Currently, Brown is reportedly dating someone new. But if that relationship were to end, ABC would likely approach the fan-favorite to lead the show again. She was in negotiations to lead another season in early 2020 but ended up turning the network down due to a variety of factors.
Steve Carbone, AKA Reality Steve, claimed in his blog that Brown was ABC’s “top choice” for The Bachelorette in 2020 but it didn’t work out because “they couldn’t agree on money.” And in his newest predictions for the next season’s Bachelorette, he did say it’s possible the network could choose someone from a prior season of The Bachelor.
As for Brown herself, she has said that she’s open to it.
“I think being The Bachelorette is a way to find love,” she said at a live show for the podcast Scrubbing In with Becca Tilley and Tanya Rad in Feb. 2020. “I don’t think it’s my only option, though.”
Brown posted a YouTube video in November 2020 that showed her talking to a matchmaker and career coach, proving that dating on TV definitely isn’t her only option to find a partner.
“I don’t know if I would do it right now,” she continued to say at the live show. “I’m really trying to focus on what I have right now — and that’s building a home and other opportunities.”
Since then, Brown has grown her lifestyle YouTube channel, which has more than 175,000 subscribers.
“I might not have found love,” Brown said about her season. “But I did find myself. I have more confidence in what I can do and I’m working toward that.”
Regardless if Brown chooses to return to The Bachelorette or not, we hope that the young reality TV star continues to feel confident in herself and proud of her accomplishments. It sounds like she knows her worth, whether she’s single or not.
