Hannah Godwin Is the Reason Hannah Ann Is on ‘The Bachelor’
Bachelor Nation was first introduced to Hannah Godwin on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor. She was awarded his first impression rose and many of the show’s fans believed she’d win his final rose as well. She (along with Tayshia Adams) was blindsided when Underwood sent her home before their Fantasy Suite to chase after Cassie Randolph.
But all’s well that ends well for Godwin because she went on to star in the most recent season of Bachelor In Paradise, where she got engaged to Dylan Barbour. Today, they are the last engaged couple standing from BIP 2019. And they’re still going strong. Apparently, they talk about their wedding all the time. Godwin wants to wear a dress that will “shock” Barbour, and Barbour wants an In-N-Out truck at the reception.
Hannah Ann’s big first impression
Bachelor Nation was introduced to Hannah Ann Sluss during Peter Weber’s Bachelor premiere. She came in hot, stealing the lead away from different contestants a total of three times (and kissed him twice). She also presented the bachelor with a painting she and her dad did. Weber gave her the first impression rose.
So far, some of Bachelor Nation is predicting that Hannah Ann will be this season’s villain.
“Hannah Anne. 23. Model. Solidifies herself as the villain on night one guaranteeing at least six more weeks on the show. Textbook execution,” tweets one fan.
“Hannah Anne is already the villain and we’re an hour and eight minutes in,” writes another.
“That has villain first impression rose written all over it,” tweeted former bachelor Nick Viall.
Hannah Ann Sluss and Hannah Godwin are besties
As it turns out, Hannah Ann had a connection to the Bachelor world before appearing on Weber’s season. She’s friends with Godwin. The two have been showing up on each other’s Instagram profiles since 2018. It looks like they’ve done some modeling together and are friends outside of their profession as well.
It makes sense that the two get along. They’re both southern, they’ve both done pageants, they both model.
According to Bachelor host Chris Harrison, Godwin actually referred Hannah Ann to producers.
Godwin wished her friend good luck on Instagram before the premiere. And, oddly enough, Barbour called out Hannah Ann when the premiere was airing, tweeting that “Hannah ann low key scaring me.”
The fact that Hannah Ann won Weber’s first impression rose hints that she’s probably going to be sticking around for a while. But no matter how far she goes, she’ll surely be a member of Bachelor Nation for life thanks to her in with Godwin.
