‘Hannah Montana’: Jason Earles Was Actually Over 10 Years Older Than His Character
Although Miley Cyrus was a teenager when she first joined this Disney Channel original series, there was one teenage character who was portrayed by someone in their late 20s (and early 30s as Hannah Montana progressed.)

He appeared as a regular character for several seasons, going from a high school student to a high school graduate. This Hannah Montana character was portrayed by the actor Jason Earles. Hannah Montana debuted on Disney Channel in 2006.
According to Famous People, at the time Earles was a 29-year-old playing a 16-year old high school student. That made him over 10 years older than his character.

This actor continued to be a regular on the sitcom until its end in 2010. However, he’s open to doing more episodes, according to Teen Vogue and an interview with the Brown and Scoop radio show.
“If Disney was like, ‘Hey, let’s do a brand new show, let’s do four more years of this’ or ‘Hey, we’re going to do a special six-episode Hannah Montana reunion,’ I would do any of that stuff because that place is like family to me,” Earles said.
This actor also appeared in several Hannah Montana-related projects, including the Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana and Hannah Montana: The Movie. Both of which since made the switch to Disney’s streaming platform.

Miley Stewart might’ve been the talented sibling, but Jackson had a few moments of his own. He was the star employee at Rico’s Surf Shop. He eventually dated a b-b-b-bikini model. He was also always there to offer his sister advice and a ride.
Of course, this series featured a few other well-known actors. Emily Osment, who portrayed Lily, acted in Disney Channel’s Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil and Jonas. Miley’s father, Robbie Ray Stewart, was portrayed by Miley Cyrus’ actual father, Billy Ray Cyrus.
Miley Cyrus, who portrayed the title character, when on to appear in other television shows like Netflix’s Black Mirror and RuPaul’s Drag Race. She also focused on her music career, releasing several award-winning singles and albums over her career.
Following his appearance on this sitcom, Earles made the switch to Disney XD, where he starred in the comedy series, Kickin’ It. There, he acted as the character, Rudy Gillespie, a karate master.
