It’s that time of year again. BTS fans may be physically distant from rapper, dancer, and lyricist, RM, but that won’t stop them from giving him a memorable birthday present. For “Namjoon Day,” ARMYs are streaming a solo song performed by this idol.

RM released his solo song, ‘Intro: Persona’ along with the BTS album ‘Map of the Soul: Persona’

He can sing, rap, dance, and write music. RM is literally a genius and a beloved member of the K-pop group BTS. In fact, this BTS member was the mastermind behind songs from the Map of the Soul: Persona album. That includes his solo song, “Intro: Persona.”

“I focused on writing the lyrics, but then writing my rap part got delayed,” RM said during a V Live Stream, according to a translation from Hypable. “My solo track, ‘Intro: Persona’ took me a long time to work on, so it was a bit tough. It was a hard process but thankfully, it turned out well.”

Even though its just RM in the video, this solo song already has some pretty impressive numbers, in terms of streams on Spotify. The music platform states that the song has over 70 million plays.

Even though it was released over a year ago, the music video on YouTube still attracts attention from the BTS ARMY. That is especially true on RM’s birthday, where some fans hope to get this video even more recognition. It currently holds about 70 million plays.

RM celebrates his birthday on Sept. 12

Some know him as the leader of BTS, others know him as the unofficial President of the world, others know him as the “dad” of the group. RM isn’t the oldest member of BTS, but he does celebrate his 26th birthday on Sept. 12, 2020. (In Korea, though, the performer is considered 27-years-old.)

As a result, some of the BTS ARMY took to social media, trending topics like #HappyBirthdayNamjoon, #JoonsQuince, and #JoonsBdayCookout. Some turned to music released by RM, streaming songs like “Intro: Persona” and the “Old Town Road” remix he created with Lil Nas X.

The oldest member of the K-pop group, Jin, also took to the social media platform, posting a 4-second long video of himself wishing RM a happy birthday.

The “Dynamite” music video is now available on YouTube. Music by BTS, including their recently released album, Map of the Soul: 7, is available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and most major platforms.
