‘Harry Potter’: Emma Watson Is Still Heartbroken Over Tom Felton Rejecting Her
Emma Watson developed a major crush on Tom Felton while filming the Harry Potter movies. And although she claims her feelings for her co-star fizzled out, Watson can still admit that she was crazy about him during their younger years.
But when she found out he didn’t feel the same way about her, she was left heartbroken. Watson even claims that after all these years, she is still crushed over his rejection!
Are Emma Watson and Tom Felton still friends?
Draco and Hermione are mortal enemies in the series. In fact, the two can’t seem to be in the same room with each other without one of them getting hurt. Whether it’s Draco calling Hermione a “Filthy Mudblood” or Hermione swinging punches right in his face, it’s pretty clear that the two of them won’t be getting matching friendship bracelets anytime soon.
Yet despite the hostility between Draco and Hermione, things are quite different for Felton and Watson.
In fact, out of all the Harry Potter cast members, Watson and Felton seem to have developed the closest bond. At least, this seems to be the case as of late, considering they are frequently seen hanging out together whenever they can. The two love to post about their little reunions on social media as well, making “Dramione” shippers feel complete at last.
Some of their hangouts include Watson sharing a skateboard ride with Felton and the two of them having a jam session with Felton’s guitar.
They even went on vacation together to South Africa back in 2019.

Back in the day, though, their relationship was a lot less platonic- at least on Watson’s end. According to the Beauty and the Beast star, she developed a “terrible crush” on Felton while filming the first few Harry Potter movies.
She confessed her feelings while appearing on The Jonathan Ross Show, saying that she loves a “bad guy.”
“Between the ages of 10 and 12, I had a really terrible crush on Tom Felton,” she revealed (via Elite Daily.) “We love a bad guy, and he was a few years older, and he had a skateboard, and that just did it really. (Tom) used to do tricks on it. He was so cool. He totally knew [I had a crush]. And the thing is, he’d turn and go, ‘Oh, I see her in a younger sisterly way.’ And it just broke my heart.”
Surprisingly, she adds that it “still does.”
Does this mean that Watson still has some feelings for Felton? Perhaps not, considering she has been walking around sporting what looks like an engagement ring!

Engagement rumors have sparked ever since Watson was seen wearing a new ring on her left hand. But despite the piece of jewelry, Watson has not yet confirmed nor denied the speculation.
The Harry Potter star is currently dating Leo Robinson.
According to Hollywood Life, they were first spotted kissing back in October of 2019.
Watson is pretty keen on keeping her romantic life private, but it seems as though they’re perfectly happy together.
