It is clear by now that Harvey Weinstein does not have a great reputation in Hollywood. The producer was accused of rape and sexual assault by countless women back in 2017, which shed light on the dark side of Tinseltown.

Recently, Weinstein infamous name got even worse when it was discovered that he went as far as wishing death upon Jennifer Aniston. Read on below to find out why Weinstein said that Aniston “should be killed.”

Harvey Weinstein was recently sentenced to 23 years in prison

Weinstein was arrested in May 2018 in New York on charges of “rape, criminal sex act, sex abuse and sexual misconduct for incidents involving two separate women.” This came less than a year after The New York Times and The New Yorker reported on Weinstein’s history of sexually abusing numerous women in Hollywood over the course of 30 years.

Weinstein was tried in February 2020. Six women testified against him, and Weinstein also shared with the court a statement. He maintained that the relationships he had with the women who testified were consensual.

Nevertheless, Weinstein was found guilty of rape and criminal sexual acts. In March 2020, he was sentenced to 23 years in prison. Weinstein is currently 67 years old and in poor health, which means that he has effectively been given a life sentence.

After Weinstein’s trial, the public got access to unsealed court documents that further showed the disgraced producer’s true nature.

The court records show that in 2017, The National Enquirer was planning on publishing an article claiming that Weinstein assaulted Aniston during the filming of the 2005 movie Derailed. It alleged that Weinstein pushed up against Jennifer Aniston’s back and grabbed her butt.

Furthermore, the article also reported that Weinstein constantly stared at Aniston’s cleavage while moving “his mouth around making Aniston uncomfortable.” A source claimed that he often told his friends about how “hot” Aniston was.

After receiving the email from his publicist about the article, Weinstein responded less than an hour later and said that Jennifer Aniston “should be killed.” In any case, The National Enquirer ended up not publishing the article.

Although the allegations against Weinstein are in line with his behavior toward many actresses he has worked with, Aniston’s publicist has since debunked the claims made by the National Enquirer article.

“Jennifer has never been harassed or assaulted by Harvey Weinstein,” Aniston’s publicist said. “He never got close enough to touch her and she has never been alone with him.”

However, that does not mean that Aniston is on good terms with Weinstein. In fact, the actress herself seems disgusted with what Weinstein has done and has talked about some unnerving encounters she had with him. In an interview in 2019, Aniston revealed that Weinstein did something “piggish” during a dinner she had with Clive Owen and a friend.

She shared: “He literally came to the table and said to my friend: ‘Get up!’ And I was like, ‘Oh my gosh.’ And so my friend got up and moved and Harvey sat down. It was just such a level of gross entitlement and piggish behavior.”

Additionally, Aniston said that in 2005, Weinstein tried to force her to wear a dress designed by his wife to the premiere of Derailed. Even though she clearly did not enjoy being pressured by Weinstein, Aniston ended up standing her ground and wearing a dress that she chose, saying: “Well what was he going to do? Come over here and make me wear it?”
