‘Heartland’ Season 16 Will Have 5 More Episodes Than Recent Seasons
Heartland‘s first season aired back in 2007, and fans can rejoice, as the TV show will return for a new season. With Heartland Season 16 officially in the works, eager viewers want to know what to expect moving forward — and early reports suggest the new season will have more episodes than a few of the most recent seasons that aired. Here’s what to know about Heartland Season 16.
‘Heartland’ Season 16 is officially happening
Heartland Season 15 ended in December 2021. Six months later, fans can rejoice, as Heartland Season 16 has officially been announced.
Amber Marshall plays Amy Fleming in the TV series that’s based on the books. She took to YouTube to make an important announcement about the next season.
“Hey Heartland fans, Amber Marshall here,” she told the camera while with a horse. “And I am very excited to finally announce that season 16 of Heartland is a go. So, we will start shooting next week. It’s already been a busy few weeks of prep, and I know that many of you have been speculating and saying, ‘I think maybe it’s going.’ And I was sworn to secrecy, so I appreciate everyone being so understanding and I just — it’s, it’s surreal really.”
Marshall continued by reminding fans she’s been a part of the show for 16 “incredible” years. “I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who has been so supportive of myself and the show because I wouldn’t be doing this if it wasn’t for you guys,” she continued.
The new season will reportedly have more episodes than recent previous seasons
Heartland Season 16 will reportedly get even more episodes than the last few seasons of the show. According to Horsey Hooves, the new season will have 15 episodes that are each an hour in length. Season 13, 14, and 15 only had 10 episodes each, making the new season markedly longer than the recent seasons.
With the new season airing in fall 2022, fans can anticipate new episodes well into winter 2022.
So, what can fans anticipate in the next season of the show? In season 15, the Bartlett and Fleming families came to terms with Ty Borden’s death. Ty died from a blood clot that developed after he suffered a gunshot wound. Now, Amy Fleming is ready for a new beginning — and it’s clear she’s a central character in the new season given what Amber Marshall posted to YouTube.
Lou Fleming and Pete Morris also rekindled their love in season 15, so the new season will follow the happy couple.
When will season 15 of ‘Heartland’ be on Netflix?
With Heartland Season 16 coming soon, when is Heartland Season 15 hitting Netflix?
