Heather Rae Young Admits She Doesn’t ‘Have Time’ to Get Pregnant Right Now: ‘I Keep Pushing It Off’
Selling Sunset star Heather Rae Young got married to Tarek El Moussa in October 2021. The couple has since talked about wanting a child of their own. However, Young recently shared updates on their fertility journey and admitted that she does not “have time” to get pregnant at the moment.

El Moussa has two children from his previous marriage to Christina Haack. Their daughter, Taylor, was born in 2010, and their son, Brayden, was born in 2015. El Moussa and Haack officially divorced in 2018.
In April 2022, she wrote on Instagram, “Ever since I started sharing my fertility journey with you guys, Probably one of the #1 questions I get asked is ‘what made you change your mind about having your own kids?’ Well… my love for Taylor and Brayden is almost indescribable, it helped me realize that I am capable of being an incredible mom and that I can really do this!”
Young also added, “I just love being a bonus mom and I couldn’t imagine my life not having and creating something with my husband!”

During a recent appearance on E!’s Daily Pop, Young revealed that she and El Moussa are putting their baby plans on hold for now.
“I have a crazy, busy next few months coming up, and I don’t want to go into it being pregnant,” she said. “We’re gonna do it sometime this year, maybe in fall. So, that’s kind of my plan. I keep pushing it off.”
She added, “We were planning on implanting very soon, like very soon, and I am just not ready right now. I am balancing so much. I’ve been healing. I’ve been going through a lot with my health, and I want to feel really good before I do that.”
Young underwent vocal cord surgery in March 2022. She also dealt with a stress fracture in her foot in February.
“I’m already raising two kids, so I know I’m gonna be a good mom. But, carrying your own and going through that and the pregnancy, and I don’t know how my body’s going to react,” she explained. “And I am busy. Sometimes I blink and the day is over, and I don’t get enough done. I’m, like, ‘How am I gonna also take care of a newborn and be pregnant? What if I’m throwing up? What if I’m sick?’ I don’t have time for that right now, so I’m gonna push it off a little bit. But I’m excited.”

Raising kids is not always easy, but Young celebrates the great moments of being a “bonus mommy” to Taylor and Brayden.
In March, Young shared a photo of her, El Moussa, and Taylor on Instagram. She wrote, “I think we can learn a lot from kids, they are always so full of joy and have excitement for life, they wake up so excited for what the world has in store. My favorite thing is waking Tay & Bray up in the morning giving them big hugs and kisses and seeing their sweet smiles. I love being a bonus mommy and I’m so proud of them.”
