The Kardashian-Jenner family has received their fair share of critiques since the COVID-19 pandemic began in the U.S.

In March 2020, the novel illness caused multiple people to postpone events like birthday parties, weddings, and other massive events. Over the last few months, however, Kim Kardashian West, Khloé Kardashian, and more members of the famous tribe have made actions during their birthdays and other social events that annoyed their fans.

Khloé Kardashian’s 36th birthday party

Khloé turned 36-years-old on June 27, 2020. To celebrate her big day, Khloé held a birthday bash at Kylie Jenner’s house. The party included the KarJenners, her best friend, Malika Haqq, and her ex-boyfriend, Tristan Thompson.

Fans instantly noticed Khloé’s celebration when she posted multiple photos from the party on Instagram. They criticized The Revenge Body star online after seeing that she had over 10 attendees at her event, which is the standard amount for social distancing events.

“Nice! Setting the example for social distancing!” one fan wrote sarcastically.

“Corona friendly,” another chimed in.

“Ridiculous. You realize there is a global pandemic happening, right? Making masks that no one is wearing into a gimmick party favor is not the solution. Wads of money spent on your self-indulgence, and then you’re ridiculous enough to flaunt it in people’s faces? Have an ounce of humility. Shameful,” another commenter wrote.

Kylie Jenner’s trip to Paris

Kylie has also been in the spotlight for her actions during the COVID-19 pandemic. While the mother of one has urged her fans to stay safe at home for the past few months, Kylie caught some backlash from social media commenters in August 2020. The Kylie Cosmetics mogul snapped several photos on Instagram while she was on a trip to Paris.

Although Kylie was in Paris for business purposes, her fans were upset because she wasn’t wearing a face mask in several photos.

“Soooooo Kylie Jenner had to go to Paris. She couldn’t do a video call?” one user asked.

“Your mask looks beautiful,” one commenter sarcastically wrote. “If we all have to stay home, so do you.”

Kim Kardashian West’s 40th birthday party

In October 2020, fans waited to see how Kim would celebrate turning 40-years-old. After teasing her birthday for several weeks, Kim shared her birthday activities and posted several photos from the festivities on Instagram. During one Instagram slideshow, Kim said she and her “closest inner circle” spent several days on “a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time.” Kim also assured her audience that COVID-19 tests occurred on all of her attendees before the event.

Kim’s decision to host a private party amid the COVID-19 pandemic angered some of her Instagram commenters. Many of them said the KKW Beauty founder wasn’t taking the virus seriously and was flaunting her wealth to her fans.

“Love how the elite doesn’t have to social distance OR wear masks, called it #hypocrites,” one commenter wrote.

“Did the pandemic go away?! Omg wish someone would’ve told me we could have massive parties,” another user said.

“Read the room, Kim,” another commenter said.

“Brilliant observation! This kind of vacation is out of reach for most people COVID-19 or no COVID-19,” said a fourth Instagram user.

Kendall Jenner’s Halloween birthday bash

Kendall is the most recent Kardashian-Jenner family member to face criticism for her partying ways. In October 2020, the runway model celebrated her 25th birthday with a party at Harriet’s Rooftop in WeHo, per TMZ. Kendall had over 100 guests at her party, including her family, Jaden Smith, Justin Bieber, Hailey Bieber, The Weeknd, and Paris Hilton.

During the party, Kendall, dressed up as Pamela Anderson, celebrated her special day by blowing out the candles of a cake with a screen-printed image of her. Although Kendall reportedly didn’t want her guests to post on “social media of any kind” at the party, it soon surfaced all over the internet. Many commenters took the opportunity to critique her party before Kendall eventually disabled her Instagram comments

“Did you guys find the cure to Covid and forgot to tell us?” one commenter asked.

“No masks anywhere,” another said of the party.

“There’s something wrong with you on a fundamental level,” another commenter said of Kendall.
