He’s your hope and you’re his hope. J-Hope is also the artist behind the chart-topping solo album, Hope World, as well as “Outro: Ego,” and “Chicken Noodle Soup.”

When he’s not performing as a solo artist, however, this idol appears on a number of award-winning BTS songs, including “Life Goes On” and “Dynamite.” Here are some fan-favorite J-Hope verses in group BTS songs.

‘Fake Love’ from ‘Love Yourself: Tear’

A groundbreaking song for BTS, the group performed this song for several events, even the Billboard Music Awards. It also includes a powerful verse from this BTS rapper, who also acts as one of the dancers when BTS performs this song live.

‘MIC Drop’ from ‘Love Yourself: Her’

It’s one of BTS most popular songs, with the group performing it on Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Ellen Show, and even Saturday Night Live. The entirety of the song is pretty motivational, but J-Hope starts this song off strong with his rap verse and, when he’s performing live, his dance moves.

‘On’ from ‘Map of the Soul: 7’

He brings the pain. This song is one of the first ones released off of the 2020 album, Map of the Soul: 7. It included some of BTS’ most challenging choreography, which the group later performed at Grand Central Terminal in New York City. J-Hope’s verse in this song, although somewhat short, is part of what makes “On” so special.

‘Outro: Tear’ from ‘Love Yourself Tear’

Okay, so maybe this song doesn’t include all of the BTS members. In each era, there’s songs including BTS subunits and this one is composed of the rappers of the group, RM, Suga, and J-Hope. J-Hope ends this song strong with his verse and, especially when performing live, it’s a favorite moment among BTS fans.

‘Save Me’ from ‘The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever’

Even though he’s one of the rappers in BTS, “Save Me” showcases J-Hope’s singing voice, as well as his dancing skills. Although it was released with one of the group’s earlier albums, the boy band performed this song on their NPR “Tiny Desk Concert (At Home,)” along with songs like “Spring Day” and “Dynamite.”

Aside from his work with BTS, J-Hope also releases solo music under the same stage name. That includes his mixtape, Hope World, and his collaboration with Becky G, “Chicken Noodle Soup.” (The music video for the latter currently has over 200 million views on YouTube.)

The “Life Goes On” music video by BTS is now available for streaming on YouTube. The K-pop group’s deluxe album, titled Be, is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and most major streaming platforms.
