Beyoncé Knowles has spent decades amazing fans with her voice. The recording artist has been heavily celebrated at music awards ceremonies, too. Still, one award had eluded her until now. Earlier this month, Beyoncé took home the coveted Album of the Year award at the Grammy Awards. It was her first win in the category. While the world can’t stop talking about the Grammy win, a lipreader revealed the sweet interaction Beyoncé had with her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, during the special moment.

While fans watched Beyoncé accept the award in a heartfelt moment, what the mics didn’t capture was just as sweet. Beyoncé’s interaction with her daughter, Blue Ivy, proves how deeply bonded the mother and daughter are. Blue Ivy was seated with her parents when the win was announced, and she was the first to jump up in excitement.

TikTok creator tismejackieg shared their interpretation of what was said between Blue Ivy and Beyoncé. The lipreader revealed that the teen asked her mother if she could join her onstage to accept the award. Beyoncé graciously told the 13-year-old she could join her, saying “Of course.” Together, they headed to the stage for Beyoncé’s big moment.

The teen was the only one to join her mother on stage, but she wasn’t the only one cheering her on after the big win. The content creator also deciphered the reactions of other celebrities in attendance. Jay-Z, whom Beyoncé married in 2008, congratulated his wife before telling her she deserved the win. Cameras also captured Taylor Swift’s reaction. She exclaimed, “Hell yeah!” before telling people in her group that the win was a long time coming.

How many Grammys does Beyoncé have?

Beyonce’s win for Album of the Year might have been a long time coming, as Taylor Swift suggested, but the iconic performer is no stranger to awards. While 2025 was her first win for Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards, she won her first-ever Grammy in 2001 as a member of Destiny’s Child. Three years later, she won her first award as a solo artist. Since then, she’s amassed 35 statues. She has been nominated 99 times, according to the Recording Academy.

Beyoncé may have finally taken home the Album of the Year award in 2025, but it’s not the first time she was nominated for the honor. The Recording Academy has given her five nominations in the category during her career. Her first nomination came in 2010 for I Am…Sasha Fierce. Taylor Swift took home the prize that year for her album, Fearless. Beyoncé was nominated again in 2015 for her album Beyoncé but lost to Beck’s Morning Phase. In 2017, Beyoncé’s Lemonade was the favorite to take home the prize. While the album was considered the frontrunner, Adele walked away with the honor for her album 25.

In 2023, RENAISSANCE earned her yet another Album of the Year nod, but Harry Styles’ Harry’s House took the win. To bring home the Album of the Year award in 2025 for Cowboy Carter, Beyoncé beat out Charli XCX, Jacob Collier, Billie Eilish, André 3000, Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, and Taylor Swift.
