Here’s What You Missed at the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Festival

The 2021 iHeartRadio Music Festival took place this past weekend in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena stage. Here’s who played the evening performances and a little taste of the music that brought the crowd to their feet.

Dua Lipa kicked off night one of the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Festival

Dua Lipa got the party started on Sept. 17 with some Future Nostalgia hits like “Physical,” “New Rules,” and “Love Again.” After her, Cheap Trick took the stage and performed such throw-backs as “I Want You to Want Me” and “Surrender.” Walker Hayes of course treated the audience to his current hit, “Fancy Like.” FINNEAS took the stage next and previewed his upcoming debut album, Optimist, with “The 90s,” among other songs.

Darius Rucker performed some of his greatest country hits as well as Hootie & the Blowfish’s “Only Wanna Be With You.” Naturally, he closed his set with “Wagon Wheel.” Weezer indulged the audience with fan favorites such as “Beverly Hills,” “Hash Pipe,” “Holiday In The Sun,” and “Buddy Holly.” They also performed their cover of Toto’s “Africa.” Next up was J. Cole with “London,” “Power Trip,” and “No Role Modelz.” Bas even made an appearance to perform “The Jackie.” To close out night one was none other than Nelly with special guests Florida Georgia Line.

Night two of the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Festival

19-year-old Billie Eilish kicked off the second night of the festival. Her brother and collaborator, Finneas, sang backup vocals. Her set included songs from both When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and Happier Than Ever. Sam Hunt took the stage next and performed such songs as “House Party,” and “23,” which was released earlier this month. Next up was Coldplay, who performed old favorites like “Viva La Vida” and “Fix You,” as well as their latest single, “Higher Power.”

Lil Baby had the crowd reminiscing with “My Dawg,” and of course featured his 2020 TikTok anthem, “Woah,” which included some TikTok dancers on stage. 23-year-old Khalid performed such hits as “Talk,” “Young, Dumb & Broke,” and “OTW.” Tate McRae also joined the soul singer to perform “working.” THE Kid LAROI hit the stage (after having performed earlier on the Daytime Stage) to perform such hits as “Still Chose You,” “Always Do,” and “Without You.” To close out the festival was Journey, who successfully got everyone on their feet. Their last song of the night was “Don’t Stop Believin.'” As the song, and the festival, finished, confetti rained down on the audience.
