Here’s Why Khloé Kardashian and Scott Disick Are So Close

At one point, Scott Disick was the love of Kourtney Kardashian’s life. And he happened to be the bane of Khloé Kardashian’s existence. Anyone who has followed Keeping Up With the Kardashians since the beginning of time remembers the days when Khloé couldn’t stand Kourtney’s boyfriend. But now that Kourtney and Scott have broken up, things have done a complete 360 between Scott and Khloé. Here’s why the two are so close.

Khloé used to hate Scott on the earlier ‘KUWTK’ episodes

When Scott and Kourtney first started dating, Khloé did like him and was willing to give him a chance. However, Scott had a tough battle with controlling his behavior, mostly due to alcohol consumption, and it resulted in him not always treating Kourtney as well as he should. Khloé, who has always been the most protective sister despite being younger than Kourtney and Kim, grew to hate Scott, since she felt her sister deserved much better. On the earlier episodes of KUWTK, Khloé couldn’t stand him and the two often got into verbal disagreements.

The two rebuilt their friendship over many years, but there were ups and downs

A lot of Khloé and Scott’s rocky friendship came from his refusal to get help for his behavior. But when he became a father to Mason Disick in 2009, he started to shape up, and the two became better friends. He began seeing life in a different way and slowly turned into a much better person. His relationship with Khloé improved, however the two still had their ups and downs whenever Kourtney and Scott would be on-again-off-again. But when the couple finally broke up, Scott leaned on Khloé and the rest of the family for some support, since it had been nearly 10 years that he’d been an honorable member of the Kardashian crew.

The two have bonded over everything they’ve both been through

Things in Scott’s life haven’t always been easy, and nobody understands hardships quite like Khloé. Khloé went through a lot of personal problems in her marriage to Lamar Odom, and things weren’t any better with ex Tristan Thompson. But in both cases, Scott was always there for her, and the two only grew closer in their friendship. Scott has been through his share of problems, too, including overcoming the deaths of both of his parents as well as managing his alcohol problems and learning to co-parent with the woman he had dated for so many years.

Now, Scott is closer to Khloé than anyone else in the family

These days, Scott has formed a greater bond with Khloé than anyone else in the family. On recent episodes of KUWTK, Scott and Khloé often spend one-on-one time together and seem to have an inseparable bond. There were even rumors that Scott and Khloé were secretly hooking up, though both of them have denied the rumors and have even joked about how absurd they are. The two have come a long way in their friendship, mostly because of everything they’ve each been through and the support they have given one another through difficult times.
