Here’s Why ‘The Masked Singer’ Fans Think The Queen of Hearts is Jewel
The Masked Singer fans are stumped about the identities of a lot of characters. But many fans believe they’ve cracked the code of the identity of The Queen of Hearts character. The judges of the hit FOX show, however, seem to be stumped. Let’s take a look to see if the fan theories about the character are correct.
[Spoiler alert: Potential spoilers for upcoming episodes of The Masked Singer are ahead.]
‘The Masked Singer’ fans think The Queen of Hearts’ identity is obvious
For devoted fans of the hit FOX show, the identity of the Queen of Hearts is obvious. According to Good Housekeeping, many of those fans think pop-folk singer Jewel — who had a wildly successful career in the 1990s — is the singer behind the mask.
“Many are confidently naming Jewel on social media since her costume is shaped like a gem,” reported the outlet. The outlet also confirmed that the costume, itself, often gives the identity of The Masked Singer away.
But fans of the show report that there are other clues that suggest that Jewel is behind the mask.
The clues give it away
According to Cosmopolitan, there are many clues that suggest Jewel is behind the Queen of Hearts mask. For example, the character said that she “grew up without a lot of warmth,” which perfectly describes Alaska’s cold weather. Additionally, the character appeared with The Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz. Fans will recall that Jewel once played Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz in Concert: Dreams Come True.
This, combined with the outfit itself being in the shape of a jewel, has convinced The Masked Singer fans that they know the identity of The Queen of Hearts. But despite many of the clues pointing to the “Who Will Save Your Soul” singer, there are many more than suggest otherwise.
Some fans have guessed that Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and even Helena Bonham-Carter might be behind the mask!
But there are some things that don’t match up with Jewel
While many fans of The Masked Singer are convinced that the Queen of Hearts is Jewel, there are some clues that don’t match up with the 1990s singer-songwriter.
For example, according to Entertainment Weekly, the first song that the character sang was Edith Piaf’s “La Vie En Rose.” This, combined with the “Born This Way” performance, led some fans to believe that Lady Gaga is behind the mask. Another clue that suggested it wasn’t Jewel was the southern accent that the character adopted. Jewel grew up in Alaska, so it’s doubtful that she’d be able to adopt a convincing southern accent. Finally, Katy Perry once had a lipstick line with CoverGirl that featured a shade called “Queen of Hearts.” But she grew up in Santa Barbara, CA, so the southern accent doesn’t trend there, either.
Now, this is all just speculation. We’re still not 100 percent sure of the identity of the Queen of Hearts. We’ll just have to tune in to upcoming episodes of The Masked Singer to find out for sure.
