HGTV Star Ant Anstead and Renée Zellweger Are Not Hiding Relationship Anymore and Attend First Event Together
Ant Anstead and Renée Zellweger are done hiding their relationship and living their best life out in the open. The HGTV star and Oscar-winning actor attended their first event together and even posed for pictures with guests. Anstead and Zellweger had only been rumored to be pursuing a relationship but now there’s clear evidence that things are getting hot between the two.
Where were Ant Anstead and Renée Zellweger spotted?
A couple of weeks ago, Anstead and Zellweger were spotted together in Laguna Beach, at the Wheeler Dealers’ home. Although neither star has openly talked about their new romance publicly, Anstead did hint he had “someone” he wanted a friend to meet.
Their big outing happened this weekend when The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Lydia McLaughlin shared a photo on her Instagram Stories. On Saturday, August 7, there was a Radford Motors event at the Lyon Air Museum in Santa Ana, California. McLaughlin shared a photo of herself posing with her husband Doug as well as the British presenter and the Bridget Jones’s Diary actor.
For Anstead, the event was a special moment for him and his love of cars.
“This is a lifetime of dreaming, a lifetime of hard work, a lifetime of learning, a lifetime of setbacks and a lifetime of believing,” he posted on Instagram. “Last night @radfordmotors revealed our first ever car in collaboration with @lotuscars and I couldn’t be prouder!”
“I believe part of being creative, being a dreamer is to remember what you loved when you were a kid. The art to growing up, is not growing up too much!” he added.
How did Ant Anstead and Renée Zellweger meet?
Anstead and Zellweger are in the initial phase of their relationship and so far things are looking good for the couple. The HGTV star recently divorced Christina Haack after a short marriage and a baby together. Around the same time the divorce between Anstead and Haack was finalized, rumors that the car enthusiast was dating the Chicago star ran rampant. TMZ was the first to report how the couple came to be and it all had to do with a new series Anstead is shooting.
The series called Celebrity IOU Joyride is being hosted by Anstead, which is a spinoff of Celebrity IOU that Drew and Jonathan Scott started. In the spinoff series, Anstead has celebrity guests to surprise people with the cars of their dreams. Zellweger was one of the celebrities participating in the show set to premiere soon on the discovery+ streaming service.
Although the report claims nothing major happened while filming, it was after the cameras started rolling that Anstead and Zellweger saw sparks. It all allegedly happened when Zellweger returned working boots to Anstead that they found out they had a great connection and have been dating since.
Christina Haack addresses Ant Anstead split on HGTV show
Anstead and Haack announced their split in late 2020, surprising their fans as they were seemingly in a great marriage. As the couple showcased aspects of their life together on Christina on the Coast, Haack addressed her split in the latest season. The interior designer made a quick mention about what her life was like since divorcing her husband and what she was doing to cope.
“The last few months have been not easy, but here we are,” Haack revealed. “Ever since Ant moved out — it’s been crazy, but I know it’s for the best. Now co-parenting Hudson but all in all, fine.”
Anstead and Haack continue to be cordial as they co-parent their baby Hudson.
