HGTV Star Christina Anstead Celebrates Son Hudson’s 1st Birthday With Sweet Instagram Post
Seems like yesterday Flip or Flop star Christina Anstead announced the birth of her son Hudson with husband Ant. Yet the youngest member of the family just celebrated his 1-year birthday milestone and his parents are posting special wishes on their Instagram accounts.
Announcing the newest Anstead
On September 6, 2019, Anstead shared the news of her son Hudson’s arrival on social media.
“Ant and I are so excited to welcome Hudson London Anstead into the world,” she captioned the photo of herself holding newborn Hudson with Ant. “Our hearts are SO full of love and joy! Our healthy baby boy was born this morning- 9/6/19 – 7 lbs 7 oz 19.5 inches long.”
The infant instantly became part of a large blended family. Anstead shares custody of her two kids – Taylor and Brayden – with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa. Ant also has two children, Amelie and Archie, from a previous marriage to Louise Herbert.
In an interview a month following Hudson’s birth, Ant focused on the importance of all parties being a united front in a blended family.
“I think everybody has to be on the same page,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “Everybody has to be present and pulling in the same direction. That includes Tarek, it includes my ex. If everybody wants the same thing, and that has to be kids first. If you prioritize kids first, it actually kind of falls into place and the rest of it makes sense.”

Always active on social media, Anstead has kept her many followers up to date on home life with a houseful of kids. One revealing post in October 2019 expressed some challenges the reality star was facing.
“Newborn life is hard,” Anstead captioned a pic of herself with baby Hudson. “It’s not all instagram filters of perfection that people put out there. F that. That’s so misleading for new moms. I haven’t been online or posting much because my hands are full – literally.”
Sharing that balancing her newborn’s needs with those of her two other children were tough to juggle, Anstead gave a special shoutout to moms of many.
“Huds is definitely a tough baby. He will sometimes cry for hours straight,” she wrote. “Hudson’s choice of spending his time is very unrealistic when we have a crazy 4 year old running around who definitely needs attention as well as a 9 year old girl who one-on-one time is her love language. I say this with mad props to all stay at home moms / moms with more than 2 kids. Being outnumbered is no joke.”

Maintaining her social media updates on Hudson, Anstead recently shared a loving message to her youngest child on Instagram.
“Happy 1️⃣ Birthday Hudson!” Anstead posted alongside an adorable photo of 1-year-old Hudson, along with a slideshow of pics that includes Taylor and Brayden. “Sweet, sensitive, busy boy … can’t wait for you to be chasing your siblings around the house soon 😎 – we love you 💙”
Not one to be outdone, Ant also wished his baby boy a happy birthday via Instagram.
“Happy birthday Hudzo!! 🎉🎊Where has the year gone!???” Ant wrote alongside a video and carousel of pics. “You are our miracle baby, the perfect blend of your beautiful mummy 🥰 and this Brit dad 👴🏼! We love you so much! Today we celebrate you!”
