‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’ returns for season 2 during Fall 2020
They’re all in this today After months of rehearsing and plenty of drama, the students of East High put on their own production of High School Musical. Now, they have their sights set on “next year’s musical,” a show already picked by Miss Jenn. Thankfully, that’s coming sooner than some viewers originally anticipated.

The cast of ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’ is performing ‘Beauty and the Beast’
This tale as old as time is coming to Disney’s original series. Earlier in 2020, Disney+ shared a clip of the cast of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series performing the title song from Disney’s animated film. Unfortunately, though, there is no official cast for this production of Beauty and the Beast, but most of the original cast is returning for season 2.
To be fair, not much is known about the characters in the Beauty and the Beast roles. Will Nini transfer schools even though she’s back with Ricky? Will Gina have to move again? And what’s up with that after-credits scene and Big Red’s incredible tap dance skills? Viewers will just have to wait to find out.
This series is a Disney+ original, meaning it is not available for streaming on Netflix or Hulu
The first season of this series became available at Disney+’s launch date, along with shows like The Mandalorian and Forky Asks a Question. Although there is no official premiere date for season 2, it’s safe to assume it will be available exclusively on this subscription service.
According to the Disney+ Instagram, the actors of this series already had their table read and added a few more names to their cast list. The series is expected to wrap production with the coming months, in order to be ready for its fall 2020 premiere. Still, fans on social media shared their excitement over this series.
