Hilary Duff Accused of Child Sex Trafficking After Sharing a Controversial Post About Her Son
If she’s not already awake, Hilary Duff is going to wake up to some pretty disturbing headlines about herself.
The former Disney star made the news early on the morning of Saturday, May 23 when a social media user claimed they had proof of Duff’s alleged involvement in a child sex trafficking ring. To prove their point, they brought up an alleged post from Duff featuring her 8-year-old son, Luca.

According to Meaww, this began when a Twitter user started a thread they said would prove her involvement in child sex trafficking. They then posted a photo where Luca was said to be totally naked with “white markings all over his body.” The picture was reportedly surrounded by other photos of Luca from his childhood, per Meaww.
“It was clearly a message to the devils of the elites that her son is for sale. There is no other explanation,” a fan said in response to the post.
Another person added: “Liz posted a very disturbing Instagram story last month. It showed her son completely naked and taped to a bed. It was quickly deleted, but Reddit saved the video and reported her. Her ex-husband has been trying to get custody of her son for years.”
Duff shares Luca with her ex-husband, Canadian NHL player Mike Comrie, whom she divorced in 2016 after about 6 years of marriage. She is now married to musician Matthew Koma, with whom she shares 1-year-old daughter Banks.
Fans react to the claims against Hilary Duff
As you can imagine, fans were pretty disturbed by the claims against the Lizzie McGuire star.
“Wait a min… hold on. Hilary Duff has been exposed as a trafficker??? A TRAFFICKER? TO HER OWN CHILD?” read one tweet.
“This lady is so disgusting. Child trafficking?! YOUR KID?!? She needs to go to jail FOREVER!!!” another added.
“I have a son and I see no need to take a photo like that when he was young. His expression, the position he’s in, it’s just odd af,” said a third person.
Others, however, defended the actress.
“Twitter really is notorious for creating the most CONVOLUTED & RIDICULOUS stories about actual people… now Hilary Duff is a ‘child trafficker’ ???? Y’all r having fun ruining lives & reputations. Knock that sh*t off, it’s not funny #hilaryduff,” read another tweet.
“This Hillary Duff situation is the perfect example of why the saying ‘don’t believe everything you read on the internet’ exists. Y’all always believe sh*t without any proof, which is not only dumb as f*ck, but it’s also dangerous,” added a second person.

But it’s not the first time such bizarre claims have surfaced. In March, a social media user claimed that Oprah Winfrey had been arrested in Florida for child sex trafficking. She later denied the accusation, describing the story as “bogus and vile.”
