How Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani Turned His L.A. Concert Into an Adorable Family Night
The Voice has returned and sadly Gwen Stefani is no longer a coach. This season has started with Blake Shelton bullying new coach, Nick Jonas.
However, he is still getting to spend time with Stefani outside of the show. The couple recently took the stage together at one of his concerts. Find out how they turned the event into an adorable family night and more.
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani released a new duet together
The couple has reunited musically by releasing a new duet called “Nobody But You.” Shelton talked about the meaning behind the song.
“This was one of those songs where the more I heard it, the more I fell in love with it,” the country singer said according to CMT. “I also realized how important it is for me and where I am in my life, and I think that’s why Shane McAnally was trying to get it to me. It fits my story. I was about to go in and record when I decided that it needed Gwen on it because it is our song. I think it’s magic.”
The country singer said they won’t be the only couple who could relate to the song. “The lyrics of that song are so on point, not just for me and Gwen, but I think for a lot of people,” he told Nashville Lifestyles. “The song is not a fairytale, but at the same time it’s the most epic, earth-rattling love song I’ve heard in a long time, because the lyrics are so honest and just say it how it is.”
The music video was released and it showed some part of their private life together. Shelton’s dog, Betty was in the video. Shelton and Stefani are also seen cuddling in multiple scenes.
They turned his concert into family night
Shelton performed in L.A. on March 7 and the crowd got an unexpected surprise. Stefani was also there with her sons 13-year-old Kingston, 11-year-old Zuma, 6-year-old Apollo, and her mother.
Stefani eventually took the stage during the concert. That probably isn’t surprising given they recently released their duet.
She posted a video of them performing together on Instagram and wrote in the caption, “Got to hop on stage w my best friend @blakeshelton tonight #friendsandheroestour #nobodybutyou 2020 Gx.” Stefani also posted a picture with her sons and Shelton. Then there is another picture of just her on stage.
Entertainment Tonight reports that the couple looked “looked more in love than ever” according to an eyewitness. “When Gwen took the stage, the entire audience erupted in screams and cheers,” said the insider.
The couple reportedly also looked close after performing. “Blake was kissing Gwen’s cheeks while they were hugging and laughing,” said the source. “It was the cutest thing.”
Stefani also had a message for her boyfriend on Instagram. “@blakeshelton thank u for having me on your @theforum stage and giving me the opportunity to wear denim and diamond Fringe with a unicorn ponytail ,” she wrote in the caption of one of her photos.
