How Demi Lovato Really Feels About Max Ehrich’s Strange Behavior Post-Breakup
Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich had one of the quickest relationships in celebrity history. They began dating, got engaged, and broke up all this year. But now that things are definitely over, Ehrich hasn’t been taking the split so well. In fact, he’s been posting a number of erratic messages since news of the breakup went public. So, how does Lovato feel about it all?
Demi and Max’s relationship
Lovato and Ehrich began dating seemingly out of nowhere. They went public with their relationship in March and then quickly became engaged.
“@maxehrich I knew I loved you the moment I met you,” she wrote on Instagram in a since-deleted post. “It was something I can’t describe to anyone who hasn’t experienced it firsthand but luckily you did too.. I’ve never felt so unconditionally loved by someone in my life (other than my parents) flaws and all. You never pressure me to be anything other than myself. And you make me want to be the best version of myself. I’m honored to accept your hand in marriage. I love you more than a caption could express but I’m ecstatic to start a family and life with you. I love you forever my baby. My partner. Here’s to our future!!”
Max Ehrich and Demi Lovato’s breakup
Things started getting a little weird between the couple when old tweets of Ehrich’s resurfaced where he announced his undying love for Lovato’s former friend Selena Gomez. Though Lovato defended Ehrich and said that the tweets were photoshopped, the two still broke up shortly after the tweets became public.
“Demi and Max’s relationship shifted once the couple got back to work and were separated,” a source told Entertainment Tonight. “Max is in Atlanta working on set and Demi is in L.A. The couple is used to being together and the separation made [them] realize they were moving too fast.”
After the breakup, Ehrich took to social media to express himself.
“Please stop trying to ‘Thank you, next’ me,” he wrote in a story captured by Entertainment Tonight.
“For I’m just a human being who has to go to work tomorrow AM where there are families with kids relying on me,” he continued. “To this moment… we haven’t spoken over the phone… we haven’t even officially ended anything to each other, literally.
He later cried on Instagram live over the breakup.
How does Demi Lovato feel?
Lovato has never been one to be extremely open about her relationships so she is sad that things between her and Ehrich have gotten so bad and that it’s been so public.
“She is really disappointed that it has gotten to this point with Max,” a source told HollywoodLife. “Breakups are never something anyone wants to deal with, and the way Max is reacting and the fallout of it all is heartbreaking. They had something and Demi was really happy and then she learned more about him and the magic they had soured very quickly.”
Ultimately, Lovato is just ready to move on from the relationship.
“Sure, [the break-up] has led to a song, but it has led to something more and that is hurt feelings all around,” the source continued. “She hopes all this will pass soon and she can focus on everything else that is happening in her life. She doesn’t want heartbreak; she wants to be in a great situation in her life and getting over this relationship will be a good start. Hopefully for Demi, Max stops talking about it.”
