How Lady Gaga’s Engagement Ring from Christian Carino Stacks Up Against Her Ring from Taylor Kinney

Each engagement ring she received from her ex-fiancé, Taylor Kinney, and her current fiancé, Christian Carino, have been completely outrageous (but in the best way possible).

Given the fact that the singer and A Star Is Born actress is anything but average, we’d expect the same from her engagement ring. Her ex-fiancé, Taylor Kinney, proposed with this sparkler in 2015, after dating for nearly four years. The 6-carat diamond ring was designed by Lorraine Schwartz, and it was even engraved with a “T <3 S” inscription (the “S” stands for Gaga’s real name, Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta).
The designer posted on Instagram at the time, “Congratulations to this wonderful romantic and super cool couple! wishing you all the happiness in the world!”
Even though Gaga and Kinney ended their engagement in 2016, we can’t help but still be obsessed with the gorgeous ring that symbolized their love.
How much was her ring from Kinney worth?
We already know Gaga’s ring was worth a pretty penny based on the looks of it. However, Zaven Ghanimian, CEO of Simon G. Jewelry, explained just how much it may have cost Kinney:
Lady Gaga’s center stone is a heart-shaped diamond, approximately 6 carats. I would estimate at least SI1 clarity or better, G color or better. For a stone of this size and quality, the price could be up to $400,000. The setting looks to be a simple solitaire with pavé diamonds down the side.
Mouawad Jewelers’ Pascal Mouawad thinks the ring may have been worth even more. “Looks like a 6-carat plus heart-shaped diamond,” Mouawad said. “If it is in the colorless range and is very slightly included, it would retail for about half a million dollars.”

We didn’t think it was possible to upstage Gaga’s old engagement ring — but clearly, we thought wrong. Yet somehow, nobody really noticed she was wearing it for months. Back in November 2017, rumors started circulating that talent agent Christian Carino had proposed to Gaga. However, no one ever confirmed or denied it, so everyone basically stopped paying attention.
By October 2018, Gaga finally revealed her engagement to Carino. She called him “my fiancé” during her acceptance speech at Elle’s 25th Annual Women in Hollywood Celebration, sending everyone into a frenzy.
How much is her ring from Carino worth?
Gaga’s center stone may not be a diamond, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t worth a serious amount of money. According to Andrew Brown, President of WP Diamonds, Gaga’s ring looks to be a “6-7 carat pink sapphire with a diamond halo totaling 3-4 carats.” It’s also “likely a high quality, no heat (treatment), pink sapphire.”
He added, “It looks like it may be a Padparadscha sapphire, in which case this ring would easily retail between $300,000 and $400,000.”
