Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick are one of reality television’s most complicated couples. They broke up and got back together several times throughout their relationship, and despite having three children together, they never got married. But how long did the couple actually date before calling it quits for good?
Kardashian and Disick first met at a house party back in 2006
It’s been about 13 years since Kardashian and Disick first met. The two were introduced at a house party hosted by film producer Joe Francis back in 2006. They instantly connected and began dating shortly after. At the time, Kardashian was 28 and Disick was 24. This was prior to both reality stars’ fame, so it’s unclear why they were at the party. But Francis once said in an interview that Disick was a friend of his, and the party was at his home in Mexico. In 2015, Kardashian posted a throwback photo to Instagram of the night they met.
The couple broke up for the first time in 2009
Between 2006 and 2009, things appeared to be very smooth. However, Disick was caught in a tough spot in 2009, and Kardashian broke up with him. According to reports, Disick was texting another woman whom he referred to as his “wife” in his phone’s contacts, and it was clearly not his actual girlfriend. At the time, Kardashian was filming a new spinoff show with her sister, Kourtney and Kim Take Miami. The family wasn’t very fond of Disick at the time, and the couple broke up for a few months. But they eventually got back together.
Between 2009 and 2014, they had three children
Kardashian and Disick took a break once more in 2009, but when they briefly had a fling while broken up, Kardashian got pregnant. She recalls being nervous to tell her family about the baby, since Disick wasn’t on the best terms with them at the time. She told her sister Khloe first, who then helped her tell the other family members. Everyone was excited, and the couple welcomed their son, Mason Disick, in December 2009. They got back together and welcomed another child in 2012 — a daughter named Penelope Disick. In 2014, the couple had another child; their son, Reign Disick, was born on the same day as their first child, Mason.
They broke up once more in 2015 and ended things for good in 2017
Despite having three children together, Kardashian and Disick decided not to get married. Disick tried to propose to Kardashian in 2011, but she said that things were going well between the two of them, and she didn’t want anything to change. In 2015, Disick was photographed partying on a yacht with other women, including his ex-girlfriend, and Kardashian wasn’t there. The couple broke up for a second time. They reconciled the relationship in late 2016, but things didn’t last. In 2017, Kardashian posted a photo that said they were co-parenting well, insinuating that they were not together. Since 2017, the couple has not gotten back together. In total, the two spent more than a decade on and off, but ultimately have been broken up for about two years now. Disick is currently dating Sophia Richie.
