We’re down to the wire on The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart Season 1. The music-driven spinoff has narrowed the competition to the final four couples. However, it seems there aren’t four weeks remaining in the season. So how many episodes are left in the 2020 season of The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart? The grand finale filmed in Nashville is on the horizon.
Which couples are left in ‘The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart’?
There were four couples left on The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart following the fourth episode, which aired on May 4. Viewers said goodbye to Sheridan Reed, Julia Rae, Brandon Mills, and Savannah Mullins. So here are the remaining couples as of this writeup:
- Bri Stauss and Chris Watson
- Rudi and Matt Ranaudo
- Natascha Bessez and Ryan Neal
- Jamie Gabrielle and Trevor Holmes
The episode count of ‘The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart’ Season 1
According to Entertainment Tonight, there are only six episodes scheduled for The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart Season 1. Of course, the short episode count isn’t exactly surprising. When The Bachelor franchise introduces new spinoffs, the first season is typically six or seven episodes. For example, Bachelor in Paradise Season 1 received seven episodes. Meanwhile, the first season of Bachelor Pad received six episodes.
Regardless, there are currently six episodes set for Listen to Your Heart in 2020. The finale is expected to air on Monday, May 18. This means two episodes are left in the season. But apparently, it’s possible ABC will add more episodes.
On April 13, Bachelor Nation host Chris Harrison revealed The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart could be extended by one or two more episodes during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“We are not shooting anymore; the show is done, it is in the can,” Harrison said at the time. “Now we are going back and looking with a fine-tooth comb where there are other moments that we could pull out.”
He continued: “It’s not crazy to look deeper into the show and think, ‘Hey, could episode 6 have three hours?’ So we are trying to be creative and trying to leave all the cards on the table and all options open to see what we can do.”
Will there be a ‘Listen to Your Heart’ reunion episode?
For now, ABC has yet to announce more episodes for The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart Season 1. So it seems the new reality series will keep its original six-episode count. But even so, some fans still have hope for a reunion with the cast via Zoom.
In the above interview with Entertainment Tonight, Harrison opened up about the possibility of a televised Listen to Your Heart cast reunion. Nevertheless, it’ll depend on the viewership.
“There’s definitely potential with that. We’re going to, first of all, wait and see,” Harrison said. “Hopefully, everybody loves this show and they want more of it. If there is this appetite and we think that there’s enough story there where there’s relationships or whatever it is where it garners a special, then, yeah, [we’ll do a reunion].”
What’s next for ‘The Bachelor’ franchise in 2020?
Unfortunately, the future of The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise is up in the air right now. Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette was supposed to start airing in May. Then the reality series would be followed up by Bachelor in Paradise. However, production has been indefinitely postponed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Even so, The Bachelor franchise has something coming after Listen to Your Heart airs its finale. On April 29, Variety reported ABC would air The Bachelor: The Most Unforgettable — Ever! starting on June 8. The “best-of” series would contain 10 three-hour episodes highlighting some of the most iconic seasons within the franchise. ABC Entertainment President Karey Burke told the publication:
The Bachelor: The Most Unforgettable – Ever! is a love letter to our fans who have been with us through some of the most heartwarming, heartbreaking and unexpected moments throughout Bachelor history. We can’t wait for Bachelor Nation to fall in love all over again as we take this wild journey down memory lane.
Now we know what to expect from The Bachelor franchise after Listen to Your Heart ends its six-episode run. So stay tuned.
